This video has been heavily edited to the point of reducing it to incomprehensible nonsense to get it past the robots. Sorry about that. Please desist from naming the fun guy in question, just to be on the safe side (there's plenty of other vids on the subject on youtube so i'm a bit baffled) however, remarks akin to "Corr blimey, what a lovely mushroom" are most welcome. Happy foraging folks!

Greetings from the redwoods of the Northern California coast, Crow! I just wanted to express my appreciation for your channel after finding it last week. It has been a delight listening to you talk about the druids and trees, thank you for inviting us into this space. There's plenty of mushrooms popping up where I live right now too - both culinary and magical. Where I live is actually the 3rd in the nation to legalize magic mushroom consumption along with mescaline and ayahuasca. A fun little tidbit - Frank Herbert, author of Dune as you may be familiar, lived only a few hundred miles up the coast. He was a field ecologist on the dunes of Oregon for 6 years, during which time he wrote the book while studying the progression of the dunes into nearby towns, and how to possibly stop them. Well what grows out on the Dunes in Oregon? One of the most potent varieties of Psychedelic mushroom - Psilocybe Cyanescens. It was the cerulean blue of the Cyanscens that was to become the inspiration for the Spice Mélange in his stories. I thought you might enjoy that. Cheers and thank you again for producing these videos

Mushroom foragers visit the park I work at, and often pick the few edible species they find. Yet the only people I trust for edible mushroom advice are the ones who return to the same spots each year. They are older ladies with exceptional good taste. They offer a class on identifying mushrooms, for botanical drawing, but not for consumption. That's above their paygrade.

And you are absolutely correct, back in the day, at least one of my Irish or English folk, would know plants and fungi, very well. For food, medicine, etc. That information was shared thru time but has sadly been lost within the past four generations. It is a shame, really. We all may find ourselves in need for that lost information that we once knew.

Great bit of country you passed through on your forage. A keen eye is needed for a full basket of the right type. Take a Gong album cove for reference. Have picked, popped and Imbibed over the years. Had a Solo session on a BIG RED with WHITE spots, not to be feared and was a totally different "Experience". More Sorcery than Witchcraft. Thanks for a reminder, I will be spending time at my wood yard tomorrow and will Groucho Marx my way round the damp.

Crow, I hope I am not too late to ask a question! Could one find these particular little brown chaps around burial mounds in Britain? I came across an Old English charm that advises warriors to take care when crossing burial minds, for elves will cause you stomach aches, and I had to wonder at the translation. The whole narrative made more sense in this context, but only if I know that such species also congregate by burial mounds. Thanks for all you do! Comprehensible despite your editing. Keep the flame going!
