pretty cool I replaced the batteries in mine with a few i found on old power wheels on the side of the road and got it running but yea only lasts about 20 minutes. This seems like it would be more ideal to actually make a full trip somewhere local. Do you know about how long it takes to charge to full usually? Its hard to tell with no volt meter.

@@Jorda5s It takes a while. I charge it with the original charger and it takes about I would say 3-4 hours. I’m guessing here since I didn’t actually time it.

What if you wire 3 instead of 2 on Amazon it says the batteries will be damaged

I have a quick question for you. Did you have to charge the batteries when you receive them, or did you just went plug and play for those 39ish minutes?

Thanks for the video. I've been looking at LiFePo4 batteries for a while as an upgrade for my kids Razor mx350. Can you tell me what charger you use? Charging always seems like a hot topic. Some use the stock charger, others say you need a LiFePo4 specific charger. Thanks again!

The stock charger charges up the lifepo4 batts to 27.2 volts and stops charging. The lifepo4 batts ideal voltage to charge is 28.8 volts. The stock charger charges at 27.9 so it is within the boundaries. So yes you can safely charge with the stock charger.

@@RCEscape thanks for this info! I was searching for a LiFePo4 charger but your data proves that it is safe to use the OEM charger. It may not get all the way full, but full enough. Aloha 🤙🏽

My stock battery harness appears to be glued onto the battery. Did you get a new harness?

You must cut as close to the glue as possible, and then attach female spade connectors. And then plug into the new batteries.

Do you lose speed as time goes on? I bought a used razor pocket mod a few days ago and it already comes with 2 mightymax 9ah battery’s but after 10 minutes of riding it gets significantly slower. I don’t know if the battery’s are old or something is wrong.

If you watch the video towards the end when the battery suddenly dies, I was still going the same speed so I was confused as to what happened. Mighty max is good when it’s new but like all sla batts, it doesn’t last long and that’s why kids loose interest in riding these scooter mods and the parents let it collect dust and eventually sell them for cheap because they don’t know how to swap out the batteries. I have 5 scooter mods all of which I paid no more than $30each. Neglected and rusted but all it needed was a new battery. I got some mighty max to replace them but they are slowly depleting too. The lifepo4 is so much better. Longer rides. Longer life and it doesn’t cost that much more.
