Budweis is not "now" České Budějovice, it was always České Budějovice, and Budweis in the same time, Because of each city and village in Bohemia has Czech and German name, so Böhmisch Budweis is just german name of the same city and both are used since Budweis/Budějovice were founded.

One technical. We have 541 breweries at this time in Czech Republic now. :-) Most of them are absolutely brilliant.

As an American I had the privilege to visit Praha in 2018. And I learned just how bad American big brand beers really are. I was never one to drink Budweiser much anyway. That trip cured me of any pretense. Budvar and Pilsner Urquell are amazing. I also found one called Zwieckel (not certain on the spelling.) that I’d love to taste again. At some point in my life I am going to come back again, money is a little tight atm.

Sorry, but Bohemia was not under German control, in Bohemia always lived citizens they were speaking german and citizens they were speaking czech and Czech lands were part of Holly Roman Empire and they were equal to other lands in the empire, actualy Bohemia was the biggest kingdom of the empire and king of Bohemia was one of the 7 electors of the Holly Roman Emperor (and most of the kings of Bohemia were also Holly roman emperors). Its the same as to say that Bavaria in time of Holly Roman Empire was under German control, which is absolutely nonsence. ;)

Břevnov wasnt german monastery omg ....Břevnov was only managed by german monk Gunther of Bohemia (Bavarian) because founder Adalbert of Prague had dispute with ruler and left Prague btw for those who dont know Břevnov is in Prague ..... cmon this is easily accesible on wiki you dont need to do some deep research ... same with České budějovice -Budweiser and your nonsense about who controlled what and who in HRE ....

Who drinks the most beer in the world?..... ME!!!! 530 beer cans per year (average adult you said) divided by 365 days is only about 1.5 beers per day. SOOOOO.... Since I drink about about 8 beers per day, x 365 days = 2.920, 12oz cans a year. So about 274 gallons (1037.2 liters). That's roughly 10 Hectoliters! What do I win other than Liver disease? lol :( GAWD!!! someone please check my math? ) I just might have an alcohol use disorder.
