Well, Sam, this is right up my alley! To ALL of my neighbors, family, and friends, I am known as the "cheesecake lady"! Isn't that crazy? But, I just love fulfilling that role for them. Oftentimes, someone will come to me wondering, "if I buy all the stuff you need, will you make me a cheesecake?" Of course, I can never bring myself to allow them to provide anything, and I just love the expression on their face when I give them the cheesecake! In these times we are living in, finding times of true joy and loving others is way too few and far between! Due to my eyesight, I cannot drive anymore, and I need back surgery so I have to lie down A LOT. My health makes it so that I cannot do a whole lot but I'll be making cheesecakes, one way or another until my time here is over! lol! Sam, I make a cheesecake in a very similar way, using lemon curd but instead of cream cheese I use ricotta. Either way it is delicious.

You can, but you'll want to make sure to not overfill the pan and your bake time will likely be different so be sure to keep an eye on it. :)

DorDe EL. Philadelphia comes in bricks and tubs.the wrap on the brick appeared to be Philadelphia brand. Best of luck baking……..

I am not familiar with products in the uk, but here they add extra things to the cream cheese to make it spreadable when it comes in a tub. Maybe someone with some baking experience in the UK can chime in with what they use. I’m sorry I can’t help any more than that. 😔😔

Philadelphia cream cheese is what I always use in cheesecakes and it works great.

Sounds delish! Not a fan of graham cracker crust... like using ginger snaps or biscotti cookies crushed and just do not add sugar.

I love cheese cake, but not a fan of American cheese cake. Cream cheese is to heavy. I prefer German cheese cake. Made with low fat curd cheese.
