This is the second song I've listened to, and WHOA, TALK ABOUT A TITLE THEME! Ok first off, this song is actually a certified banger. Like I could listen to this on repeats, and even see people getting nastolgic over it. But let's get into the analysis. The song starts with a solemn piano. This actually is a thing I've seen with a lot of small indie title themes/lobby themes for adventure games, I dunno why. That's not a bad thing by the way, just a funny thing I've noticed. However, that "small indie theme" thing immediately changes as soon as that acoustic guitar jumps in. The acoustic guitar, and overall feel of this song, are definitely 100% inspired by Paper Jam's, which had a similar vibe as well. The main theme itself during this first half with just the guitar and synth is really great, and really nails that "you're gonna be in for a fun adventure, just you wait!" feel of the Paper Jam's title theme (yes I keep bringing it up because I love that theme). However, at 0:44, that all changes when the fire nati- I mean, when the flutes (provided by gamerofthewinds, shoutout to them) come in. The feel of the song shifts, with the solemn flute telling of how this journey won't just be fun and games, but will have hardship and trials that may make you cry (I dunno the story, I'm just goin off this theme). The main instrumentation joins back in, supporting the flute, creating a full melody that incorporates both the solemn flute and the adventuristic guitar, musically telling the player this game will have both exciting ups and trying downs. Also, as someone who did percussion in high school, I love the added claps here too. It reminds me of the whistle sound in the Paper Jam title screen. In general, I absolutely love it when composers use The theme then brings back in the piano from the beginning, but instead of building into an adventure, it builds into an almost hopeful-like ending. I don't really know how this will loop, but honestly this still works perfectly fine as is, because most title themes tbh don't actually have any loops and do end just like this, so the slow descent at the end actually works really well. Overall this is an AMAZING title screen theme, and it's the perfect theme to get people pumped to play your game. Also apologies in advance if I use the word "solemn" a lot. Despite knowing English, I kinda suck at finding a large variety of adjectives to describe music that has a more "sorrowful" feel in a meaningful way. Hopefully during these analyses I find better descriptive words. X3
