LOL - I got as far as the Plains and got fairly comfortable there with my last run, though I couldn't for the life of me find Yagluth. I love Loxen, I've got a more or less free-roaming herd outside my Plains base. I need to get WAY better at dodge rolling and leaping about before I brave the Mistlands though, let alone the Ashlands. Cheers! Edit: I did turn fire-spreading on, though, because apparently I hate myself? We shall have to see what happens when I start running afoul of surtlings.

Damn, I didn't even think ahead about surtling attacks. Yikes! I too restarted and tried out the fire spreading option. My first makeshift hovel burned to the ground as I didn't clear the grass around my campfire outside. So far it has helped me take down abominations earlier than usual by dragging them to the nearby black forest and setting the ground under them ablaze.

I get the building issues, I too like nice looking builds but are still useful; I would like to do the beautiful creative building projects but my wifi and console aren’t the best for that. I would like to run a sever when I get pc but I sometimes have plans for certain things and sometimes someone uses those resources/area/etc and I just need to find a way to deal with it

I almost think the addition of Mistlands and Ashlands has messed with the early biomes generation of common starter stuff. I just started a fresh playthrough myself this weekend and found only 1 beehive on my starter island that was normal size. Searched tons of houses, but no bees. I found 1 more beehive after making it to the Silver age. I was pretty sparse on potions without the honey.

Definitely looks like bad RNG. I started a new map a few days ago and have 20 beehives. I always play really slow, so I'm on day 40 and still haven't killed Eikthyr. I'm taking my time mapping out my island and setting up some outposts for later copper mining and my main base for this island. My starter island is enormous. I still wasn't even able to go through all of meadows, so there's probably even more bees around. Aside from bees, my troll RNG is insane too. The first very small chunk of Black forest I found must have like four different spawners for them based on the area and frequency at which they're appearing.

@@msmichellewinchester Interesting starter island. I haven't had a huge starter for a while. One of my favorite giant starters had the first 5 biomes on it. Granted, the mountain was lame and the Swamp was small, it was still fun to get to each one on foot!

@@mitmon_8538 Oh, I actually did find "a mountain" too. But it's tiny and from what I can see from down bellow (which is most of it), there's nothing there. But I have actually seen another, substantially bigger one towards the west of my island and I saw some patches of black forest that looked like they might connect that piece of land to my island. I haven't explored that part yet, so there's actually a chance that it's still the same land mass. If not, the island west of me is very close. Haven't seen a swamp yet, but I don't think I ventured far enough in any direction to be able to expect it.

Banana my man, you gotta work on your combat. lol You die SO MUCH. Craft a sledge before you enter the burial chambers and kill everything through the doors. There's no excuse to die in burial chambers.
