Love the deck, It's so funny that Ghostricks managed to break with purrely into 4 DC spots. It's one of those decks that wouldn't exist without master duel. But most importantly this happened during October a few days before Halloween. Ghostricks came out seeking vengeance this year cause konami didn't give them support.

I’ve tried it and I do really like it! I think it’s very explosive and without any disruption makes the best purrely board ever. Although I would agree it’s not the best build because it runs into droll and nib harder than it’s supposed to, deck shouldn’t die to these cards completely and it bricks on ghostrick spells too instead of more handtraps

I've played it through the entirety of diamond and am currently in master 5. I agree that it dies to droll, not that the regular build handles droll super well anyway. But saying it dies to nib is very wrong imo. The deck plays into nib, sure, but the nib doesn't really impact the combo in any significant way. Because either a) you summon 2 purrelys, get the searches off them and go into the ghostrick combo immediately, and the opp is forced to nib the ghostricks, and ultimately the opp gains a +1 as they use 1 nib to take 2 purrely bodies. Sometimes they don't even get the +1 because if you opened with a ghostrick card, the dullahan will add it back making the nib break even. Like they nib, and after the nib, you have 5 cards in hand. It's not a counter. Or b) you summon 3 purrelys to start, use 1 to make any purrely xyz monster as the 4th summon, and then go into the ghostrick combo with the other 2 bodies. With this option, the opp is still forced to nib at some point during the ghostrick combo, and you lose an extra body, but with friendly on board, you can actually end up adding more spells back due to the xyz going to gy, and actually plussing off the nib. This option is, imo, broken, and I've had games where I've ended up with 8 or 9 cards in hand after nib resolves. I cannot stress this enough, nib is soooo bad against ghostrick purrely.

The renovation play into a second noir is definitely funny but I think it’s better played as the smaller package with just 2x angel, 1x dullahan, 2x shot and the UDF package. You still get to turn any two level 1s into a UDF + two discards, but you’re playing one less bad going-second draw in the main deck, and (more importantly) you have space for additional Epurrelys / utility cards in the extra. When playing the full ghostrick package, you run out of resources so fast, and I think the payoff of maybe making a second noir if you go uninterrupted is just way too win more. The main benefit is neither UDF nor the second noir - it’s the ability to have a discard engine you don’t need to hard-draw into; that’s the only part of this engine that will consistently let you win games you’d otherwise have struggled in

I've extensively played both variants on ladder, I can confirm that the smaller package does feel more consistent and better as you combo off. The problem I was running into with the smaller package tho is that if you end on udf+noir, opp's will use tactics to steal the udf and use it to put more pressure on the noir. So you can end up with a lot of games where it feels like the udf is actually weakening the board rather than strengthening it. The fix to this is running the larger package where you end on double noir and then you don't care if they steal the udf because you have 6 bounces and lava golem/ra are the only cards that crack the board. (and they don't crack it cleanly either, because you still get the add back from friendly) Of course, as thrust and tactics drop out of the format, the smaller package will become the obviously superior variant as it's more consistent.

I would love to see a version that is competitively viable. I never have seen ghostrick before, but hell did I love the art + rarity look in prismatic ultimate inside of rarity collection

The real trick in Ghostrick is the field spell cards. You're actually not supposed to play them. Instead you play 3x Terrors of the Hidden City for protection and stat buffs and 3 Subterror boss monsters (1x lvl 12 & 2x lvl7) along with the Utopic Ghostrick Engine. Depending on your starting hand you either set up the neko + festival summon lock, the Ghostrick Night flip lock or the Utopic negate. Destructive Daruma Cannon can be used to get rid of links since they cant go face down. That trap makes the player do it so it can get over cards that are unaffected by other card effects like the Blackwing Full Armor Master. Yesterday playing this build i beat 2x Dragoons back to back in 2 turns. I baited the negate with a trap and put the first dragoon face down so i could pop it in my turn with Alucard. The second one i used the negate on Utopic Draco to cancel dragoons negate and take control of it. i was so amazed. been working on this deck for 2 weeks and finally got it working but tbh it wouldnt work against a deck like fire king snake-eyes its still to slow. I made it the best i can but it deff wouldnt compete in todays meta.

I do really like these videos ^^ I do wonder if it would ever make sense to make the opposite cuts - might be possible to cut the f0s and maybe a bit more from the extra and just play the double noir line, which is maybe more useful?

This defeats the purpose of purrley being a mid range/control deck your extra deck after this turn 1 combo is almost non existent, if your board gets outed there is not much u can do anymore

Ruling Question: who takes the battle damage if daigusto sphreeze is on the field and i crash a gusto monster into a mikanko monster with the equip card?

Battle Damage is "redirected" only once, so it depends on who would have initially taken the damage if no effects were in place. For example, if your Daigusto has 1000 ATK and the Mikanko 0, the redirection from Gusto would have never happened so the opponent won't take any damage. But the Mikanko would have redirected 1000 Battle Damage. At this time your Daigusto Sphreeze won't "re-redirect" the 1000 Battle Damage, so it's always the controller of the monster that "wins" who takes the damage in this situation.

why jester confient over Kinka-byo, Kinka-byo littarly facilitates the rest of the combo since u most likely did not normal + he summons a Purrely un-negated so u get more chances at more cards to hand

Only true with no disruptions. Well placed imperm and ash could stop you cold. This build can play through those hand traps which pure struggles to do.

I don't completely agree. The ghostrick line when interrupted gets you to UDF, but doesn't actually get you to extra Memories; you get an extra negate plus 2 discard fodders if you go all the way. Is it better to end on a UDF compared to a random Rank 1 after eating 2 disruption? Absolutely. Is it worth giving up that many extra deck space and also play 2-3 main deck bricks? You can play a smaller package as I noticed right away after the KC cup. 2 shot 2 mischief and 1 dullahan. This allow you to play through imperms effectively obtain discard fodder and most situations you have UDF before using my friend which prevents it from being hit by ash. The better players wait to use Ash on my friend which you can now punish

I won't say 3 brick due to the nature of purrely quick spell. Heck, even drawing 1 of it is technically a plus when you can fetch it back during first detaching a dullahan.

I never thought Purrely could be more annoying but here we are. When it comes to broken decks, Labrynth/Unchained with Trap Track and Virus cards still gives me the chills. Some combinations shouldn't exist for the games sake.

Plenty, even some that aren't based around an archetype. Favourite one is runick spright, which yes you can use it to just get UDF but you can also turbo neko, lock them with night and control with the spright trap and socuteboss pops that zone locks even the EMZ.
