A new car camping trip

Heading across the country to the Lake District. My first park up is at Killington Lake Service area on the M6. £13 for 24 hours, all facilities available. It was a nice steady drive across Yorkshire and the scenic Dales. A1M north to Bedale and a break at Leeming Services. Then take the A684 through Leyburn, Aysgarth, Hawes, stopping for a break at Sedbergh because I haven't been there before. Check out the blog for extra photographs.

It was dry for three days, but rained on the way back. Yes, it is cold.

Good to see you Ilona. I’m so jealous when I see you car camping. I did a three month road trip a few years ago and saw some of the USA. Where I live there isn’t any car camping like you talk about. I keep researching and am determined to find a way to go on the road again and find a place to car camp. I just loved it. Thanks for the reminders. Have a wonderful time. ❤️

Well done you ! Lovely part of the country. I went to Holy island yesterday. Have you been ? Well worth a visit . My two pals and me did over 70000 steps walking round the island . Knees protesting today but I'm pleased we made the effort ! Have a lovely time and keep safe ☺️🦵🦵😎
