Excited about this new chapter! There are tons of popular ex-pat vloggers in Seoul - I wonder if you might be able to connect with some of them to do a bit of redecorating/DIYing for their spaces? It would be really cool to see what the thrifting/home goods life looks like in a totally new country!

My biggest mistake when I moved to Japan was to buy food at 7 eleven, be smarter than I was and start shopping at normal supermarkets asap! The selection is bigger and everything is much cheaper 😁 have fun in Korea!

Hermione, wow to having a job where you can travel and stay in different parts of the world. There is only so much DIY a girl can do so it is great to mix things up a bit. A travel vlog would be awesome and we can see the different things to do in Seoul. Their version of Poundland looks great and you have managed to make things a bit more comfortable for yourself. Hermione, I'm so very happy for you!! I did something similar in my 30s and loved it! Writing to your friends is a great idea. Who doesn't love getting real mail?! The first time I went to China on business, I was there for a little over two weeks. I get home to the States afterward and it's morning but feels like night because the time difference was 12 or 13 hours. I make myself some instant macaroni and cheese and start to eat but the fork is feeling weird. So I was like "da** it" and went and got chopsticks out of my suitcase. 20 years later and I still eat mac and cheese with chopsticks. haha!

Yes, but the Korean Daiso is an independent entity that separated from Japanese Daiso in 2011. So, the products in Korean Daiso are different from those of Japanese Daiso :)

Wow Hermione, good luck in your new space, and how exciting that you got to travel to this place. I love the look of that AirBnB, and understand needing storage things and the ones you got are so amazing. I loved the meal you cooked it looked yummy and how cool you know how to use chopsticks, I have been using them since I was 2 years old, I learned how before I learned how to use a fork and spoon. I wish I could travel but I think this is good for you. Also you're now closer to my time zone (Australia). I lived in Japan for a few years, and unfortunately didn't get the time to explore Korea. I regret that but I was really busy exploring Japan! I have seen a few bloggers in Korea on youtube and do follow them sometimes. Good luck with everything and time will fly; soon you'll be back in the UK. Or you might want to stay on. It's always good to explore more and especially if you're from such a different world and culture, Korean food is amazing!

Korea has changed so much since I lived there-it’s incredible. It’s so built up now. A little hint on that stain remover pen only use it on white because it looks like it’s full of bleach- I made the mistake of ruining a brand new brown sweater once.

Those hangers with the divots in them are fine for onnthe road but at home, I don't buy them anymore tho convenient for tink top dresses n delicates etc cuz when I'm in a rush, which is often lol it doesn't let the clothes off the hanger easy, it gets caught when I try to grab a shirt or jacket and go. So i dont put my jackets or tops on those type of hanger, I like the type with the hook under the top part, instead of on the top part.

💕If your posting letters can’t you send/post items (like eye lashes etc…) home to your Nan for when you return to the uk💕Although small these items take up room in a suitcase💕As your there for a while posting stuff home will leave you room for other things💕Once you’ve hung up your clothing put items to take home into your case see how quickly you fill it💕
