Thank you for the video! Take care of yourself first we don't mind the wait, sure content is good but a happy and healthy Baradul is better.

I was too focused watching what Bara was doing, seeing him dodge nothing, thinking... Wtf is this guy thinking? Then I looked and saw. Nice callout, I would not have caught that. Looks like it was long range shots, he JJed early. Saw it coming and knew exactly what to do.

Just FYI for anyone that doesn't have this Mech - you can do the same build on the KGC-000. It doesn't have the jam chance quirk, but has slightly better heat, cooldown, and velocity. Also Argent has ECM... no way to get around that unfortunately.
@sebastians.68924 ай бұрын
And minus the ECM, the whole selling point for this mech.

Oh By Blessed Blake’s Balmy Bunions! Baradul is back! My PSR has been steadily declining since your last MWO vid! Not kidding, but all kidding aside, great to see you back and having fun. I made a similar build to this except with 3 ERMLAS. I’d build up heat with the spamming ultras, then as I’m backing off, send a last kiss with the lasers before cool-off. Also they help in a pinch when you cut through the armor. I’ve never played a KC before so I was skeptical especially with the convergence issues, but it’s really fun. Welcome back and thanks for the insights!

Funny since in one of my latest matches I ended up in front of one and got me and my trash can blasted to orbit with its ACs Welcome back!

It's good to have you back. I hope you're feeling better. I'm looking forward to picking up the Argent. I want to try out an LBX20/UAC20 + 2 snubbs build, and a bunch of other ones. :D It looks like a fun mech. I only wish it had +1 Ballistic HSL like some of the others, but I get why it doesn't.

Great job on the argent! Glad to see you on mwo again ^^ Current favourite has to be the Warthog with ap gauss and medpulse. As for King Crabs I got one going with 2 heavy ppc's, mrm 40 (both highmounts) and 6 quirked lmgs in the arms so it can critfish while not suffering from the low firing angle problem.

During the Ammo Factory event I saw a King Crab Argent with four silverbullet gaussrifles and ECM (it was running around with stock urbanmech speeds X'D )... It gave me the idea that this thing could run light-engine or XL-engine with with stealth armor, four light gaussrifles and lots of ammo on this thing easily. Kinda felt better than a Fafnir would, because the variant of Fafnir that I have has to run a small standard engine in order to run four light gaussrifles in the side torsos and then ECM in the CT... Faf ends up keeping most of the ammo in an arm while being too slow and all that.

I have always thought that the King Crab should be a command and missile boat focused build. I don't know if there was ever a lore variant like that or not. Seemed like a waste of potential to have big short ranged cannons in the default build. Aesthetically the missile launchers would look good popping up from the top on both sides of the torso. Then put some lasers in the arms. The standard variant slots don't allow this entirely but you can run something close.

The UAC10 HSL+1 makes a 4xUAC10 build viable for some 80 dmg alphas, and to avoid popping internals directely when accidentely fireing the left right left right to tight ^_^ (But tripple UAC10 and 2 LPPC is prob better ofc, hard to get enough ammo into a quad UAC10) Sad to see the nascars forcing your play, but I like that you do not like it ;P

@delsinhays64214 ай бұрын
000B is better.....like I run a much more riskier build but these kind of builds are more fire support than outright damage. Don't get me wrong, having those UAC-5's double tap without jams is absolutely amazing. However, don't rely on it. Coms and maneuvering will save your tail more than anything. Ammo conservation too, honestly I just run the UAC's and an XL engine with 13 tons of ammo. It works.

Ok there's something I'm not understanding here you had 2 back armor on your rear and and side torso and saw no bonus armor. Why didn't you die at when you took rear damage it seem you have no real back armor??? can someone explain that?
@GarldBonkdonk4 ай бұрын
Structure. You're not insta-dead when your armor is gone, hits will need to chew through the Structure points still. It's like extra armor, except things tend to break and fall off while you lose those...
@CorwinS-kd6yu4 ай бұрын
Mech has structure, and if you're getting shot in the back for more than 20 damage you're doing something wrong. Best to keep less than 5 armor on each rear panel because the front is what should always be getting shot

Man, i am not a fan of how people play MWO. Back when I started playing online Mechwarrior games during the MW4 Mektek days, people were not doing things like torso twisting to spread damage, using buildings as cover, the extreme amounts of ECM usage, the NASCAR running in circles, or pop-tarting to snipe from behind hills. Everyone was playing like it was Unreal or Quake but you have a big stompy robot instead: charge at the enemy guns blazing and see who dies first, unless you had a LRM boat. Assaults were very popular because more tonnage means more armor and more guns. Lighter mechs were viewed as a challenge because the lighter you are, the easier it is for you to die to all the heavies and assaults running around. I know most people don't feel this way, but Mechwarrior is less fun when everyone is tactical and tries to play safe like it's a game of Battletech; the most enjoyable matches for me were always big uncoordinated chaotic battles that felt like a giant robot version of a demolition derby.

KGC can soak a ton of damage.. It just draws so much aggro in this game so quickly, and beefy as they are, those arms are HUGE targets to knock off.

Thats the problem with a veteran community , everyone knows and will focus on, its way too efficient
