Very nice Steve, although, I don't understand why you don't like the figures who're reloading as they're the perfect skirmishing mate to a guy aiming & shooting but whatever. I especially like the figures reaching back into the cartridge pouch while holding their musket in whatever position. I'm no master kit basher either but there is one set I've done that I'm particularly proud of. Perry's British Light Cavalry box comes with enough torsos, legs & all for Lt. cavalry pre 1812 & post 1812. So, I made the squadron of pre 1812 cause I love the Tarleton helmets, then I ordered and extra sprue of French Lt. Cav. horses, took the left over post 1812 bodies, stuck the Carabinier helmets from the Cuirassier box I had left over and Voila Bob's your aunt mildred in drag, Perry sculpted French Lancers. Also made some Dragoons of Olivencia (see SPA 47 PERRY catalog) using yet more left over heads, that were helmets like Tarletons without the wool caterpillar ruff on top, with a bit of putty to replace it, stuck on some Chevau Leger bodies. So, three and a half units of cavalry from one & a half Perry boxes and the mind blower is that they'll actually recommend you do so on their Facebook page. I love the Perrys.

Thanks, my friend. As usual, I always appreciate your insightful feedback. I do like the poses. They just didn't fit what I was looking to accomplish with this project (that was much more of a me problem than any problem with the Perry sculting). Have a great week 😀

I like those Battle in a Box sets... I probably should of gone down that road instead of buying all the individual boxes!

@@basement1908 It's never too late! It's a great starting point, but it can definitely help build up your Union and Confederate forces with the added bonus of some terrain. Also, the lightweight ACW rules included isn't a bad way to play, though the basing is different from Black Powder.
