We found a new honey hole to find treasures for resell! I was so happy to finally shop in Madison, IN at Riverwest Antiques. What a fun shop! There was so many booths FILLED with wonderful vintage and antiques. Some prices were at retail, but I managed to find MANY items for resell.

Thank you for being so careful while flipping through the old books. My mom taught 1st grade for 30 years & had an extensive children's book collection & many were over 100 years old. It was drilled into my head at a very young age to gently turn the pages, not roughly flip through them. It has become an adult pet peeve of mine when I see people being rough with old books & ephemera, I can hear my mom's voice in my head saying "be gentle, be gentle" :)xo

MIsty, I think you should start checking out the Childcraft books when you see them. It is in your video under a math book at about 8:23. I have the whole series. Many of them have fantastic illustrations and are worth reselling for the ephemera value. Especially the music and the nursery rhyme volumes. Your wonderful panda is from the late 40's. My eldest brother had one given to him as a baby. He was born in 47 and still had it until he passed last year.

My mom bought the whole set for my sister and I in about 1963. I was and am an avid reader, and I treasured the books. Beautiful illustrations. I had the maroon and cream set.

I loved the Childcraft books. We had a set from the 1950s. Sadly my dad who hardly ever got rid of anything, threw them out.

I see so many items I have. The prices are out of the this world. Most of my glass items I bought 30 to 40 years ago for no more than a $1.00. So I guess things do increase in price.
