Amazing how many old tires are along the river. I hope some volunteers are picking all of the trash up along this beautiful river !

Yea, it’s a mess. They used to have river sweep, a day when filks would pick up trash, but not sure if they still do.

I really like ur rinsing method. Seemed to work really well. Nice finds!!!

Thanks Charles! I like to do it where I’ve sifted to get all the rest. It takes a while in deeper sand

Hey Dawg another relic hunter wears a respirator when digging dumps as there is asbestos in most dumps-take precaution please
@cleggsadventures4 жыл бұрын
Craig Littler I was reading something about that yesterday. Haven’t seen any respirator though.

How about a Milwaukee M18 Transfer pump?? Would love to hear about your Aviation experience sometime.
@cleggsadventures7 ай бұрын
I tried a small pump but just not enough water. I need a 2” pump. It’s all about volume. I was Aviation maintenance, 15F Blackhawk & Chinook electrician. Plus Honor Guard duty. First time I was in, I was 29E radio repairman. Served most my time in Germany, did 7 years total

Maybe use a leaf blower to move leaves and small sticks? Myself I have a back pack blower that I use to clean out junk out of flower beds. It also can move gulf ball sizes stones
@cleggsadventures6 ай бұрын
Yeah, it’d take a big one, everything always wet and heavy down there

Tried it, need more volume. Need a 2” pump
@roygiehtbrock91246 ай бұрын
For your idea on using a water pump. You can get a sub pump for a boat. It uses a regular water hose.

Bring two buckets. Believe it or not, you'll last longer when the weight is balanced out. And a folding saw for the roots. Nice finds!
@cleggsadventures4 жыл бұрын

bring a leaf blower out there and blow them all away!
@cleggsadventures4 жыл бұрын
dana f. I thought about it, maybe this year. All the leaves are gone now but they’ll be back. I thought about strapping a leaf blower to the kayak to give me extra thrust with paddling. Might push me along a little faster.👍
@danafredrickson424 жыл бұрын
i seen a guy do that before to clear an area of leaves and it worked very well so i just mentioned it to you
@cleggsadventures4 жыл бұрын
Yea, my friend does that in creeks in the fall when the leaves are everywhere. I’ll try that when they start dropping this fall.
