A New Journey BEGINS (again) | Honkai Star Rail Playthrough Part 1

It is time to start playing HSR again - so I decided to start completely from scratch so I could revisit the story and try to remember what happens! Also this and part 2 was SUPPOSED to be one video so I apologise for the slightly shorter format, was having issues with the videos lol! Rewatching this cuz you're finally in penacony, i feel so happy you're appreciating caelus' voice and animations! Great to see a fellow caelus player! Caleb did such an amazing job. Honestly, one of the very few games where I keep then eng voiceover because of how good it is! Everyone did so well! I remember switching to cn as i usually do with mihoyo games and because of wanting to hear certain VAs but they didn't have caelus' growl when he says "Rules are made to be BROKEN!" and i was depressed about it for a good minute and switched it back to eng. Haven't changed it since! 😂

The EN VA work in this game is fantastic as well, I didn't even look at other options as it's one of those times where I wanted to hear the EN voice acting in action and I have NOT been disappointed at all! 😁

A couple little notes: It's unconfirmed if We knew Kafka before we woke up in the body, though with her Spirit Whisper ability when ever she says "Listen" does allow her to influense our mind but it's also a fun easter egg for anyone playing again or just to be cheeky. I think it's also really interesting that when the Doomsday beast fires apon us is when Nanook looks apon us despite having Destruction as our base Path but it also makes sense for us to be destruction because of the stelaron in us. But who is to say because isn't destruction kind of a default for a fighter.

@@georgieegames We actually didn't know about her ability till she came out and on the Loufou. But it makes sense why it would be her to make sure we would be as much of a blank slate when we wake up.

@@georgieegames technically, SW and Kafka dialogue imply that the MC/Trailblazer did know them before the start of the game. On the bright side, Kafka has a companion quest that should answer some questions, though I would suggest after doing that quest to look up a video with the responses to each dialogue choice.

@@georgieegames Good to note that many playable characters PathRders still can follow different path in Gameplay in comparison to the Lore Path which is the main one, its yet unknown if there is a correlation between them or its just mostly a dev-gameplay thing (probobly this). There is a lot of examples already ye.

bit of a side-note; you can remove the black bar at the bottom of the screen in settings it's under Settings -> Others -> System Functions -> ''Display hints on the bottom in Controller Mode'' they added this feature back in 1.3

Don't know if it was mentioned in a comment already, but the game does indeed look better than when it first released, you did not imagine things! They did some graphical upgrades a few patches back, specifically with attack effects. Looks REALLY good honestly. Overall they've added so many nice additions and quality of life things, its part of whats kept me with the game. They really seem to be taking player feedback into account and its amazing to see. Happy to see you back with it! Really intrigued to see your thoughts on the characters you didn't meet yet once you meet them in game vs what you thought of them during your trailers reaction 👀

One thing I would like to say about our wife Kafka, the game never explained that, but every time she uses the word "Listen" and is in a different color, it means she is using her mind control powers. It's something that many people never noticed because the game never explains it. And since we are here talking about her, many people say that her voice sounds like she is seducing everyone all the time, but in reality the idea is that she's constantly bored.

Enjoy the story and the game. Take it at your own pace. Even if you have a lot of story to catch up to, you have all the time to complete it, because even sidestories and many events are permanent (and optional, if you just want to do the main story)

Glad to see you back! your Pronounc of Caelus is Spot on. The Asta Pull is scripted. Great that you managed it to get Ratio before it runs out to claim. Fun Fact about the VA´s Arlans VA is the same as Nilou in Genshin , also Asta and Hook (which you will meet in the near future) are the Same. As for Decicion Making, i would say pay close attention what you answer when you get to penacony, but its best to do that anyway.

And know the HI3 the Honkai Lore for doting on some little details, potential connections and parallels. 15:01 Yep, and the Choices are actually meter to some extend! After all its the theme of this game along with meaning of Destiny. HSR uses the better version of "illusion of choice" where the process and details in dialogue or some quest outcomes are all depend on your answers. There is even a few alternative "Endings" (they are both like insert Joke and Bad endings in feel) for both 1.0 (Not Boarding the Astral Express) and 2.0 version, etc. Character may reply to you differently a lot, especially in newer content, i really love all of that. Really cool direction focus for a gacha game. "Reach the End of the Story in Your own way".

​​@@georgieegamesfor some of your questions/tips: - it's not entirely known what the relationship between the Trailblazer and Kafka is, but they did know each other before the game starts - you unfrotunately just missed the reruns of Kafka last patch and her new best friend (mechanically) Black Swan - some of the 3 star lightcones are fairly useful, so i'd recommend you keep a fully superimposed copy of each one - there's some free characters you can grab: Yukong from the Forgotten Hall, Lynx from Pure Fiction, Herta (and several of her eidolons) from Simulated Universe and Dr Ratio should come by mail - Ratio really wants teammates who inflict different debuffs. Guinaifen is the best option for this in one character, so if you happen to get her, definitely raise her up
