Finally someone actually painting with these brushes. I went through 20 different Rosemary & Co reviews. Everyone showing them but no one actually using them. Thank you for showing it in action. 👍🏼👍🏼

So glad to discover your channel coming back to painting after a while. I used Rosemary's synthetics for ages and was please to discover a set of 344s unopened. As a life long vegetarian I have always used synthetic brushes. Paper and paint were other things I had to search for. Thanks for spreading the love

Thank you for this demo! I'm planning to get some Rosemary brushes and this helps a lot. Just to share, in my experience, for lifting, Mimik brushes are the best by miles, even better than sable. They pick up paint like a vacuum cleaner. They don't want to put color down, so I don't use them for painting very often, but they lift like a magic eraser! I keep a set of Mimik brushes in different sizes solely for lifting.

What about the tower?! ;-) Really pretty demo. I like how the shrubbery worked wet melds, but still hints at its complexity. I'm adding some quality synthetic brushes to my Christmas list :-)

Nylon seems not to hold up as well as sable. So it's been 3 years, how are the red-dots holding up?

Thanks for this review! I have high hopes for these brushes. I use small rounds like sizes 0 to 3, and the biggest issue I have with synthetic brushes is that after a few hours or days of painting the points can start to curl and form a permanent hook. For what I do, a very sharp tip is necessary. As a Rosemary & Co fan, I’m really curious to see how the tips of these Red Dots fare over time. Now that it has been a few months, do you have any insight as to how they hold up?

So sorry for this very late reply . They are doing well and used a large amount of each week. If i get any brush curling I simply dip the hair only in newly boiled water few seconds then straighten out. No further as the glue on the Ferrell will give way, cheers P

I've bought a ton of the brushes from the Golden Synthetic rosemary line. Loving them but I'm a noob at this hobby so I don't know much about brushes anyways lol

Thanks for the review, nice to see an experience artist use brushes. I love Sable over any other, but not always ideal if you have hard pans, especially W&N pans. I was not so keen on the One stroke flat brush, I have tried several synthetic and didnt like them.

I prefer synthetic anyway, but it seems odd that 2 tree living animals, the Sable and Squirrel end up being used for watercolour brushes. While 4 water living animals, the Beaver, Coypu, Muskrat and Mink, were popular with the fur trade and being made into coats. I have never seen these animal furs used in paint brushes? The Sable became extinct in Europe in the 1930's, due to trapping and now only survives in Russia. As far as I know it was never farmed for its fur, unlike the Mink, Coypu and Muskrat. All of which are now wide spread in Europe, having fallen out of fashion and farming! It is interesting to note, that it was hard to sell Muskrat and Coypu fur coats, so they changed the name of the fur to Musquash and Nutria, as that sounds better than rat skin coats.

Maybe the aquatic animal fur repels water rather than holding it.
