Your Bordeaux coloured sweater is beautiful, as you know no one is going to know any “mistakes” you made. Are they really mistakes or design choices ?LOL. Your new matter looks amazing, congratulations! I would love to see you knit a sweater in that green colour. Same colour as your son’s hat. Amazing !!

I have to remember that they are design choices 😂 the Wensleydale is really nice to knit with I am very tempted to knit a sweater

Socks are definitely an 80"s vibe !! CONGRATS on the pattern publishing !! Portland HAS been beautiful , but we still have a chance for cold weather !! I'm spinning for Andrea Mowry's Nightshift .... I think you should start your spin for the Traveler !!! ...and that puppy is ADORBS !!!
@westmaven9 ай бұрын
I really think I will start to spin for the traveler, how are you spinning up yours I think I will try for a 3 ply, as it seems easier for me to spin finer than thicker yarn , since I’m so new to it all I really am trying to take in what other people do how they like to spin etc
@blindrootinhogs9 ай бұрын
Spinning thicker is not my go to, so I am using this project to practice that... Getting about 7 wpi....2 ply since strength is not necessarily needed in a shawl... . Fractual spinning braids of BFL ..... SO FUN !!!!

Congratulations on your pattern launch, Lauryl. 🎉 I have to say, I have barely had mine off my feet. I’m part way through my second pair, which are white stellina sock yarn and a pink and lilacy mohair. Excited to finish them. They are exactly what it says on the tin and I love them. Clicking the link in the description and favouriting on Ravelry will help them reach a bigger audience, so recommending that to fellow viewers x

Hi! As I started watching this episode I was on about the 4th row of my Rota jumper that I started this morning 😊 Thanks again for the pattern (prize for your hat KAL). I’m making it from some Shawl in a ball I had in stash. I love that colour that you are wearing it looks amazing on you! Looks darn good for a first sweater. Your sock design is also so cute and of my youth 😅, so ya 80s/90s. Can’t wait to see what else you have up your sleeve.
@westmaven9 ай бұрын
Yay I hope you enjoy the Rota if I remember correctly it was a fairly quick knit just because I didn’t want to put it down!

my first ever knit pretty much anything was the Novice Sweater and it looked just like yours! I used only one strand of yarn Lana Grossa Alta Moda Cashmere.. ended up taking the sweater apart though and making someone a wrap with the yarn which is a very glorious yarn. Congratulations on your pattern release. You have the prettiest yarns!

That yarn sounds absolutely amazing, and I love that you repurposed it, thank you so much for you kind words

The Traveler Shawl is a great pattern, especially for handspun! I just finished mine. I’m already thinking of making another one. Sometimes it can be so hard to find a use for certain handspuns.

Tracy, It’s so good to hear you love the pattern, I am looking forward to knitting it 🖤

I got the pattern yesterday and scheming to get yarn to make it in a neon coral vibe, or possibly lilac-lavendarish! Congrats on publishing and goal checking. 😄 Also looking forward to seeing what garment comes next in your roster! I'm knitting so so many things right now, topmost are the Clearview Cardigan in Noro Silk Garden Sock Solo Omitama (it's so so deeply textured that I think it still looks good even though it's highly variegated) and Say Hello blouse in Garthenor No 1 Smoke colour.
@westmaven9 ай бұрын
Sandy both colors sound awesome, thank you so much for your support and I hope you will tag me if you post photos so I can see what you pick, I love Noro and when I knit with it I think why don’t I knit this all the time 🖤

I know this is an older video, but I saw that the answer isn't in the comments, so here it is: 398.2 is the Dewey Decimal system number for fairy tales and folklore.
