Honestly it feels a bit strange to watching your new direction away from Leica and from BNW Photography…but you did an engaging and interesting job with the Fujifilm XH2 and the Siri lens (you did pronounce it correctly). Best of luck with this new direction and I wish you continued success with your channel and career Paul. As for me, I’m continuing my BNW Photography journey with the Leica Q2 Monochrom…the tool which feeds my inner Muse 🙏🙏📷

@@davepayne8500 Fuji is certainly not a new direction. I’ve had the Fuji for as long as I’ve had Leica. I use it for weddings, and for any paid work that requires colour. I also use it for the KZbin videos and a 35mm equivalent was needed. Black and white will always be where my heart is. I use both a monochrome sensor and black and white film almost daily. The Fuji is a need more than a want. Unfortunately Wedding couples want colour alongside their blacks and white images. Just so they remember colours of dressed etc. So no new direction. Monochrom forever!

This is an interesting point for your video, because SIRUI is currently a manufacturer that I am also working with. However, for my X-T3 I am interested in the 75mm lens as a pure portrait lens. The fact that you have a good opinion of SIRUI reassures me, I appreciate your view of things. Have fun with the 23/35mm, and best wishes from Siegen, Dirk

Thanks for the hint to the Sirui lens 👍, the b&w photos at the beach capture the mood really great. Remembers me to my fuji 18 1,4 on my X-H2 but with a reasonable pricing. Did you use Acros or your on settings?

I’m recently getting to video with my XH2. I have a SIRUI 24mm T1.2 Lens. When u use it for hand held video- the footage is extremely shaky regardless of IBIS. Yet conversely when I use another lens such as Viltrox 33 1.4 which also does not have optical stabilization, the footage is steady. Any opinion on this? It seems the IBIS is not even working when the SIRUI is on the camera. Maybe because it’s a manual only lens?

I never came across that. IBIS shouldn’t be affected by the lens being manual. At least in my limited understanding
