That's a fantastic scene. I hope the cub makes it to adulthood. There was a very rare sighting of the male lion intimately bonding not just with the cub but also grooming the lionesses. This male appears to be very gentle and friendly with his family as compared to most grumpy lions. I wish this part was shown for much longer.

@@ShamwariTV That brings up another question, has the pride male, the father of the cub allowed a fully grown "beaded" (maned 😂) male (now an adult) to hang around and not chase him from the pride ? Or does this pride not have a dominant male and thus the new cub's father is a non-pride male ?

I had already seen this video of this young male with his little brother/sister/cousin, very beautiful moment...but I find it strange that he is still with the pride. Yes it unusual that he is still with the pride - the social dynamics of big cats such as lions aren’t an exact science - so only time will tell. We hope so too🦁❤️

There is no such information, no matter what the source is, that is absolute for wildcats! This is the second time I have seen a male lion that the "book" says should have been "kicked" out of the pride but hasn't. I think with this big guy watching over the little cub, he has increased cubbie's survival odds, hope he stays around for awhile and ohhh those beautiful lion bonds ❤🤎❤

Beautiful video but usually the lioness has 3 or 4 cubs so the others must have died. But this surviving cub will have to grow up alone without another cub near his age and that will make things more difficult for him.
