PSA: Today, 2024-09-10, Analogue released OS 2.3 that specifically address the Sleep/Wake issue on Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. I haven’t confirmed the fix myself but it’s good news nonetheless.

Another comfy video. I've managed to clear 4 gold symbols and I'm now missing Arena, Tower and Pyramid. I did have to make a new team for the...Palace. It was miserable to beat and now I need a break. Not sure which one I'll do next but I will keep Pyramid for last.

I’ve been looking forward to this video😭 Ever since I binged your channel about a month ago I’ve bred a perfect attack IV adamant choice banded Metagross, Perfect Speed Jolly D-Dance Tyranitar and I hunted a perfect Sp.Def IV Latios. I’m currently hunting for a perfect 6IV Latias in the RS using the battle tower glitch. You’ve really brought back the childhood wonder and love I have for gen 3 back in the mid 2000s, thanks so much dude!

You will not regret breeding a D-Dance Tyranitar at all. From hundreds of Battle Tower battles, Aerial Ace will be your best friend on T-Tar. Those double team sets are near impossible to beat without it!

@@PURPLE_G0J0 Good point with the aerial ace! I should consider that as well. How do you deal with things like swampert and flygon? I was thinking of ice beam to at least have some coverage for flygon and dragon pokes.

@@nostalgicnighthawk I maxed out my Sp.Def of Latios so I can live at least 1 super effective move on switch in, I usually live with a little under half hp and leftovers always brings me back up to a little over half hp (just pray they don’t crit you on the switch in). I revenge kill every flygon with Ice Beam and Swamperts can’t really touch me bc of my Sp.Def investment so I usually take the opportunity to set up at least 2 calm mind and kill it with psychic. Just make sure you invest in speed or have a speed boosting nature on Latios because Heracross will sweep if you’re not faster than it! Having a slow Latios has cost me 3 runs aiming for Gold at the battle tower🥲.

I love seeing people trying to do as much as possible in older games. I decided to start completely fresh a year ago. Deleting all the save files and starting games here and there (including Switch titles). I'm currently locked onto Diamond and trying to complete as much as I can. I even bought a few of the guide books for even more nostalgic feelings. And with the knowledge about competitive battles and other mechanics, I can enjoy the deeper aspects of the game I wasn't able to enjoy as a kid. It's just a good feeling knowing that there are people out there playing these old games. I hope you keep going and have a ton of fun!

I’ve been also trying to get all of the gold medals in the battle frontier since I never experienced this portion of the game fully as a child, and it’s awesome to see content of someone also trying to get gold medals, it’s so nice. It makes me want to also record and analyze what I’m doing so I can reflect on it and share as well. I may try and do that in the future. Keep up the great work :)

I started watching all your videos, I love this style and your chill grinding video style it reminds me of casually playing gameboy with my older brother because i could never get as far as him in ruby. You've inspired me to replace my battery and start playing along, maybe some day i'll be able to afford an emerald copy and i'll have a solid start on the pokedex.

Loving the series. I went through the trouble to beat my copies of FR and LG and then I replaced the battery in my old emerald and started over from scratch to take on the same kind challenge. Maybe if I sink enough time in, I will also find a copy of Colosseum and take on Battle Mountain.

Seems you are going the right way. Scout the 1st pokemon and trap it on torment. Then set up DD or CM boosted sweeper. But be aware from calm mind user. This strat is just guaranted for latios/latias. Why? Dugtrio megaspeed not missing fisure will make sure to outspeed your pokemon and 1shot the entire team. Thats why levitation is so valuable. Playing around inmunities works realy well and removes some variables from ecuation. Nice relaxing video as always. Keep it up, gl and enjoy the experience.

I remember the pike was the only silver medal I had as a kid. I didn't know anything about evs or ivs so my teams were really bad. That gold medal is definitely tough to get.

Gyarados makes for a great partner for Steelix as the two can cover each others weaknesses. Gyarados can come in on fire and water attack as well as earthquake while Steelix can switch into electric and poison moves or rock slide. your videos are great and good luck on those medals!

In regards to farming money in emerald I like to use the reporters, once u have beat them enough times they stay in the same place. U can not only farm money but also exp their if u have something like a swampert that can one hit KO both their Pokémon’s with moves like surf and earthquake and has an amulet coin u will be getting almost $8k per battle also ur partner can be a Pokémon ur training and put exp share on it and it will give about 2.1k exp per battle. Then just fill the rest of ur team with pick up Pokémon’s like linoone that have rock smash so u can go down and use the pokemon center to heal up ur pp usage.

Man I love Pokémon to be able to have the same Pokémon that can be infinitely different from 1 another with stats and move sets is just crazy to think I also didn’t know how to get dragon dance on TTar So many steps to it but I love how complex it is Soo much content in these games !!!

I know you're all about using the Pokemon you prefer but don't sleep on bulky water types. Suicune, Swampert, Kingdra are all fantastic!

I will say, the only Suicune really "worth" getting is probably the one from Colosseum. The legendary dogs have a glitch that affects roaming pokemon in RS and FRLG where most of their IVs are ALWAYS 0. This is not the case in static encounters, but Colosseum is the only place you can meet the dogs in a static encounter in gen 3.

In order to win all the symbols u need a very strong response to bulky water types, they are run killers 50+% of the times !

there so many good water types and it stinks i love all pokes that are weak to water ha! Yea they got kingdra, wailren, swampert, quagmire, milotic, and probs like 3 others at least.

As they say, having a plan and making sure you have the means to carry that plan to fruition on the battlefield are the first rules of warfare 😉 I personally use Flygon on every one of my teams, and I have since wayyyyy back. Flygon crumples to any and every Ice Type move, even Ice Shard starting in Gen4. Any TTar set will obliterate a Flygon with Ice beam, maybe even with a Yache berry honestly. Good job with the team and I'm excited to some execution!

yea man all the planning in the world doesnt matter if one doesnt see it completely thru! I gota keep that in mind Flygon is awesome. Loved the pokemon since i was a kid and especially in the Jirachi Wish Maker movie. Flygon was hype.

nighthawk.. at battle pyke try to hit the "smelling like nostalgia room" in the 7th room all the time because you are not gonna have a battle after it... Also, if your pokemon have full health completly and the woman says "pokemon wafling around" it means that is almost 100% chance of being wild pokemon. Also, Try to hit the "whispering room" when full health because it can be no battle or double battle which is not bad at all.

I don't know whether to restart my 400+h emerald from when i was s kid. I replaced the battery but time based events don't occur until you restart the game.

It is mainly from when I was a kid so only a couple of sentimental Pokémon as I never trained all that many. I do have the completed Hoen Dex, which I couldn't do again without another game and GBA to trade between. The fact that berries don't grow really bugs me. I never evolved my own milotic and now cannot grow kelpsey berries to evolve a feebas.
