So, for the different instruments. Bocchi is the lead guitarist, she usually plays more technical and complex parts, as well as solos. Lead guitarists usually stand out in rock bands 😉 Kita is the vocalist and will be rhythm guitarist. She'll play more simple riffs, following the rhythm and melody. And will be singing, of course, while doing so. Nijika and Ryo, on drums and bass, are called the rhythm section. They are kind of the back bone of a band. Nijika will play the beat and give the pace of the songs, the bass usually accompanies the drums and/or the rhythm guitar, but can also provide own unique bass parts.

just fyi bocchi the rock is heavely inspired by the band Asian kung fu Generation, so much that they covered a few songs and funnily, they share the same last names and roles in the band Masafumi Gotoh (vocals, guitar) - Gotou, Hitori (bocchi) (hitoribocchi meaning 'all alone') Kensuke Kita (guitar, vocals) - Kita, Ikuyo Takahiro Yamada (bass, vocals) - Yamada, Ryou Kiyoshi Ijichi (drums) - Ijichi, Nijika

Bro I didn't know that. I been an Asian Kung-Fu Generation fan since early Naruto days. Joined a band and covered their popular songs. I guess that nails it even further how this anime feels so right at home.

Iirc many of the episode's titles come from or inspired by songs of Asian Kung Fu Generation as well.

@@janewow77 I believe it's all of them with the exception of episode 8, which reuses the name of the show. The first and last episode titles combined is the title of a single Asian Kung-fu Generation song. Most of the titles are slightly modified though.

Fun Fact: most of the locations in Bocchi the Rock are actual locations like the club Starry (although I can’t remember if it’s actually called Starry)! There’s a few videos on KZbin of people visiting them!

Not really a spoiler...but Kita is the only character who calls Hitori by her name..the rest all call her Bocchi...Because of her kind nature, she is kind enough to call Hitori by her real name..I believe this because Kita doesn't want to exaggerate Hitori's anxiety with such a nik name.
