Okay, I also have a 24 inch head. Size XL hats are often too small for me. I'm learning to modify patterns myself mostly so I can knit berets and tams (my preferred style) that fit my head. Can I say how delighted I was to find others with large heads?! Yay!

I’m catching up on some podcasts and just loving your vibe! Anyhoo the discussion on birth order is very intriguing to me… just wanted to tell u about my mom who is the ultimate middle child. There are 9 kids in her family and she has 3 brothers and a sister older and 3 bros and a sister younger! Isn’t that wild?! She’s 82 now and not the kind of person who wants to be centre of attention but still loves getting together with a big group of her siblings and or in laws.

My big head (23") was one of the things that motivated me to learn to knit, most of the cool-weather hats I've owned (or wanted to buy) have been too small. 😆

Rhinebeck!!!!!!!!! Also. I live in New Haven, CT, and people pass me to run red lights ALL THE TIME. It’s terrifying. Like I’m sitting at the light, and someone whips around me and runs through the intersection. Hands down would rather drive anywhere in Boston than on Ella Grasso BLVD in New Haven.

Cannot wait to see sibling energy:rhinebeck edition!! Also you can absolutely have multiple youngest/an only in a sibling group. My partner is 25-13 years younger than all of his siblings, grew up basically as an only and then an eldest with his nephews later on. He absolutely acts like an only cusp youngest. I have big oldest energy and everyone can tell 😂

I was having some serious FOMO when you were talking about Boston. My daughter lives there and after visiting her in June, I finally clicked with that city. I love that traffic doesn't stop for you when you are standing at the crosswalk like they do here in Oregon! I love that I get to pretend to be grumpy like everyone else, even though I'm not ha ha! And also, she and I went to Rhinebeck last year and it was my first New England fall experience. Argh I wish I could go this year!! Anyhoosles, so glad I found your podcast, and I'll for sure be back for more...

Bryce's hot take on the Boston left turn scenario: usually yes, you should yield to oncoming traffic BUT in Boston there's always that one person who tries to beat the oncoming traffic and turn first (aka Mass-hole). As a driver in the "right-of-way" lane, we know someone is going to try that so we hesitate and let them turn. Is it right? Probs not but hey, it's Boston! We do what we want 😊

Also in my project bag, I have a head lamp. Why you may ask? That one time I thought I would knit by a campfire... did I? Nope. But there the head lamp stays just in case I need it 🤷♀️

This is a good take but is so prevalent it’s hard for me to believe it’s not an actual rule hahaha!!

I am sooooo sorry to hear that, you are taking it way too maturely :), but glad nothing worse happend. OMG, you guys are going to Rhinebeck, ME TOOO, hope I get to meet you guys, my siblings from other mothers/fathers.

Smash and grabs are so stupid. They take random shit but they mostly take your sense of safety. Your security. Your sentimentality. Last time my car was broken into it was RANSACKED. Took nothing of value - random kitsch earrings and a libretto in my glove box. But now I'm out $300 and I walk to my car every morning expecting the worst. Ugh!!!! Random rant over. Love you both and look forward to seeing the Sheep Camps.

I’m having an image of an unhoused person who knows how to knit taking your bag and keeping themselves in warm woolies all winter. Maybe they could see it was knitting stuff and knew it would help them more than anything else they could find in a bag? I know that’s probably some fairy tail fiction, but it’s a nice thought that might make you feel better about all of that lost crafting
