A new pergola out of tree branches.DIY build exteme frugal living (wartime kitchen. & garden)

today I'm building a pergola in the woodland walk out of RECYCLED tree branches & some OLD wood... the bark for the floor is also FREE.
we are also having a little look in the garden, checking up on Stripe & the girls.

So happy to see you here again - I've missed you and prayed that all was well with you. So much beauty in your garden! Your Pergola is lovely -- you are such a hard worker! We've been having lovely weather as well, although we are forecasted to have thunderstorms tonight. We certainly can use the rain, everything is very dry. Last year at this time we were dealing with devastating forest fires. Praying that we don't have a repeat this year! Stripe is growing so quickly! He looks like a lot of fun! Awwww...thank you Catherine...I am very well thank you & thank you for your prayers too that is really very kind of you...😊❤️My garden has just gone boom & gone all green with lots of growth I do think all that rain we had has done the ground the world of good.... The Pergola is looking good now its all been planted up... 😊 Im so pleased you have been enjoying the nice weather too ours has gone again now & we are back to rain....but it was lovely whilst it lasted... I do hope that you get some much needed rain too keep that ground wet so you don't get those horrible fires again....❤️😊 Stripe is getting very big now but he is a good boy & we have loads of fun ... we went for a windy walk along the seafront today & that was nice he's getting better out n about around people & dogs now he's growing in confidence.. but getting him in the car is still a battle.🐶🐶❤️ Have a lovely weekend & lots of love from us all over in our corner of Wales... see you again soon..💐😊😊❤️❤️🐶🐶🐔🐔🐔🐔🌷🌷🌹🌹🍄🍄🦋🦋

I’m in awe how you do the pergola on your own and made it so rustic. I’m looking forward to you having a seat and a view there. In one part of your cast it looks like Stripe is really getting among the pots and a bit of gardening, lol.

Our Rhododendron has lots of flowers on it , unfortunately with the wind and rain we've had since the early hours of this morning (Wednesday), one of them looks a bit bedraggled, it's not stopped raining all day, Terry's going to put a stick in to catch it too, when it fines up. It's a pretty new stem so there's no weight to it yet.. He cut the Fuchsia almost to ground level, that's really sprung to life too. It looks like it will be a good year for roses in your garden, so many buds! It must be looking so beautiful. I love the pergola, it's rustic look goes with your lovely cottage whimsical garden, well done. Hi lovely Maria it's lovely to have your company again...I was looking at my peony & rose today thinking about you wondering how you were so it's lovely to see you again...♥️ I do think it's a challenging time the days we live in so I'm happy to he able to bring some much needed cheer you all certainly cheer me when I read your lovely comments... as I'm finding things a challenge here too.... so we can cheer each other on.... its good that we both have our gardens to retreat too as I certainly would be lost without mine... it must be first day of summer here if its your first day of winter...
