A NEW Porch Time - An Uneasy Feeling

My husband has been in the military since he was 17 years old, he’s 40 now. He swears that this virus was created for biological warfare. Why else would the entire country be shut down? Not only our country, but every country. These are very scary times we are in.

Falicia Windsor That’s how I feel, simply because all the speeches I’ve been seeing have been framing this as China’s fault. Calling it the “China” virus. Saying China didn’t warn us in time. It’s like they’ve been trying to make sure the American public would support a war by putting all this into their heads in a controlled, manipulative, and systematic way. I hope I’m wrong, but I’ve been noticing it a lot.

This is a time of self reflection and affirmation of our faith. It's a time to stand together and face the challenges with our family and friends. Get back to God's intentions for us. A wise professor shared with our class many years ago and I found throughout the years to be dead on.... Trust your gut instinct... You may not have facts to justify your feeling, you may not be able to quantify the instinct/feeling...but 9 out of 10 times, this instinct will be right/correct.... This instinct has been numbed out of us in modern society... We've been inundated with so much information thru media & the digital era that it is difficult to digest all the words we receive into our minds and soles.... Food for thought....

I kept hearing I'm not sure who, God or an angel, idk, but a guide of some kind, but someone telling me, "It's time. It's time. It's time." I'm talking for at least 6 months before last christmas. I felt this intense anxiety of needing to have everything done before Christmas...garden, housework, traveling, etc and couldn't figure out why and what was coming. Kept feeling like I needed to take my babies and run and leave the country. Now I know why.

Danny, I feel it too. My husband and I met you at the Appalachian conference 3? Years ago and we'd already begun our journey. I've quadrupled my growing space since then, learned many new life skills related to food preservation to add to practical things like sewing, basic mechanics, etc. We've made just one brief trip to the store in the last month. My day to day life hasn't changed much in terms of what I am doing, but I feel the same uneasiness that I think goes far beyond the virus hysteria. Can't pin it down, but I am convinced that I head a calling for a reason 5 years ago. I am a spiritual person, but not a churchgoer and this message made it to me loud and clear then. I quit a well paying job to do so, and I was a very work-driven person. Now I am a made-2-thrive person! Growing extra food I expect will be needed not just for us, but our community too. People that laughed at preppers, homesteaders, etc., are taking a second look. Mostly finding help and not "I told you so", which is just another sign to me that this was a calling.

Trust me you are not alone with this uneasy feeling. What's even odder than this feeling is how we are not able to attend Sunday services at our church. We watched it online and even the pastor said this is strange speaking to an empty church. But we were there in spirit and it certainly was strange doing it remotely. Setting that thought aside no matter where we are whether it's inside a church, outside on a lawn, or just walking or sitting in a park we know that God is in OUR center being our hearts, our minds and spiritually.

Thanks Danny. This came on my feed at 5 AM eastern. Great message today. I've had that feeling for a while now and it grows stronger with each passing day. It feels like whatever it is will be affecting the whole world and not just the US. I'm not worried as there are only two outcomes, either we make it through or we go home to be with our maker. I too feel uneasy these days...we are in such strange times. I'm trying to protect my elderly parents from the virus. I think that we will soon find out more about the "origin" of this thing. I'm trying to trust what President Trump is saying and doing but I also feel that there is so much more he is not telling us, just for the sake of keeping us as calm as possible for the time being. We live out in the country and I thank God for that blessing. Above all, I trust the Lord and I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and not. have a spirit of fear. We enjoy your videos! Thank you!

I'm also uneasy about what's happening and maybe even more so over what the future is going to look like. I live alone and spend 99% of my time home alone so the stay at home order isn't stressing me. Still I constantly feel unsettled so I keep busy during the day and immerse myself in a book in the evenings.

I have had these feelings.....like that inner voice. I have learned over the years that I should listen and not question that intuition but to just follow it. God sees and knows more than we ever will and I believe it's him guiding us to where we need to be and do what he is asking us to do. Just like two years ago, out of nowhere, I bought a canner and canned everything I could but never dreaming of something like this happening. It was guidance, I believe. Hello Danny and Wanda! I recently returned from a two week trip to Ghana Africa. I landed back in the US at JFK on February 5th. Just in the nick of time before this whole thing really started to blow up. The trip was amazing and the people were wonderful! So many living there in poverty with next to nothing and yet remain happy and hospitable to foreigners. I learned so much when I was there and am grateful I had the opportunity to go. I agree about finding your happy place. My happy places are my gardens and also my study/craft room where I can think and create and write. I think a benefit to all of this is every one of us has the chance to slow down and recoup and maybe discover new things about ourselves we didn’t know. Amen Danny. I have had the same uneasy, undefinable feeling in my spirit lately as well. I don't have a grasp on what it is or can even put my finger on it. I'm praying to the father that He give me discernment and wisdom on what this is, and what this means for me as far as preperation. I am in Christ. I want to discern the fathers voice in the small and large things but especially when the world is in chaos and he speaks in the stillness, that I would be looking to him and listening for him and that I would be able to discern above all his voice over any other. And that I would be obedient to it. No matter where I am. It is not a spirit of fear, but rather that uneasy feeling and also sense of urgency yet, I can't pinpoint what for yet. It will come though.

Wow what a timely message. I'm glad to see that other people are "feeling" what I'm feeling. It's been that way for some time. A certain uneasiness that I can't put a finger on, that lingers and won't let go. It's even been hard to sleep. Maybe 2-3 hrs at a time. Good job with this, Danny. I think I like “Off the porch time” best. 🙂. For me, I believe, the uneasy feeling I have, is just the unknown in all of this. The not understanding and the unpredictability in how this is all going to shake out. The good part of that is it forces me to step back and realize that there isn’t much I can do about it, so I just know God has control. Once my head and heart is in that place, I find myself excited to see what God’s plan is in this chaos. Excited to see His work unfold in this. Makes me feel like God is reaching down here picking us all up and shaking us by the scruff of the neck, to remind us and show others, that He IS in charge and we need to get back on His path. Because NOTHING good happens on the dark roads that run along our straight and narrow path. Stay on the path and quit looking toward the paths beside us. Even though those paths near us look bright and happy and easy. Even though they look to make us feel better, they lead us farther away, from the Lords path. Once we get far enough away, those roads grow very dark. And it is so hard to get back.

I have that uneasy feeling too. I am being led to keep buying things because I feel that there is going to be a disruption in the food supply lines. I did go to the grocery store yesterday. They were pretty much stocked up except for toilet paper! Interesting! If there is another kind of announcement, people will wipe out the stores again. I told my daughter to stock up while the stores are still open and have their goods. Keep the Lord first!

Amen. We serve an awesome God. So thankful to be in His Kingdom. He rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and death and into His Kingdom of Light. Only 25 seeds in the packet but I figure I can collect seed from a lot of the first planting and that will give me plenty of seed. Exactly! We keep waiting for the antichrist people (and perhaps THE Antichrist) to do something, but we forget that aspect, that God is doing something, too. In fact, He is doing lots, and it is helping people to take that life we have seriously, and to know that they really don't want to die and not be ready. Our way of life has been attuned to believing lufe was all about pleasure, money, power, being a "winner", where nobody can call us a loser and make us think we dont even exist as human beings. But life is not about that. This is helping people to wake up from that lie.

I agree about feeling uneasy. I feel like America and the world are being judged for our sins. As Americans, we have been spared much of the judgements in the past. Now we have a choice- turn to God and repent or face utter devistation. So many times lately my mind begins to dwell on the negative but I fight that with scripture. Having so many verses memorized I am able to draw a verse quickly. I advise that people try this, it helps. Sadly, I think we are heading towards a terrible recession and depression. All I know is God is in charge and His plan is perfect! Jesus says not to worry God gives food to the birds of the air and clothes for the lillies in the field. He is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble!

Thank you Danny for a good message today. One that I needed to hear. Everything you said was true. The pruning can be hard at the time, but something we need to grow. Only God knows His plan. We just have to know that and trust in Him. Thank you for reminding me of that.

This was your first video that was at the top of my feed... Pinned up there. I was asked to take a survey if this was a good video for them to recommend and they wanted to know why. A friend of mine is in the hospital for the past almost two weeks. Her husband was too, until he passed away last week. He did have 'underlying conditions' and she basically does too. I might know someone else too... Waiting for the test to come back.

I went to our Walmart and they had the one side shut down where you couldn't go through the doors. You had to enter on the grocery side. They had it taped off in yellow tape like a path you had to take. When you go inside they had carts flipped upside down separating the in and out. It was like herding cattle. There was a gentleman in front of me and he said this doesn't seem right. It's like in the movies we've watched where they come after you. I told him yes, it was very creepy. I could literally feel an oppression in the air. Just sheer darkness and I prayed and told myself, I'm a child of God and not to be afraid but I'm telling you, it was a very bad feeling and I do fear and worry sometimes even though I pray not too.

I absolutely love this format for porch time! I always watch, but rarely comment. But when I was a child and when I was a Sunday school teacher, we called these object lessons! Folks can identify with the lessons from nature! God speaks to me in the garden,and it is easier to hear Him there amidst his creation! Thank you for sharing! You should definitely do more of these uplifting garden lessons! It was awesome!❤️😊
