I've been doing some investigating myself and I've found out that not just one brawler (Mr p) was included in the case of spike, the true identity of the mystery man. My first suspect was Dani of course but I wasn't finding much evidence so I looked to find a new suspect, another brawler... Sandy. I know I sound crazy but the facts... you can't deny the facts. First you must look at the skins of a brawler, skins of a brawler show their true colors, such as bull who on the outside is a brawler but on the inside he just loves American football that's why he has skins such as linebacker bull or touchdown bull, this is why I first looked at Mr P's other skin, agent P, he isn't a killer or a man of vengeance he is an agent, a Hitman to be specific so then I looked at other brawlers and their skins and I came to the conclusion of sleepy Sandy and his custom made spike slippers, that was my first real clue to Sandy being the voice thief, and then the story came together it was Sandy all along, Sandy who hired agent P because of his jealousy that spike was the first brawler to be known for the dessert instead of Sandy (sand, sandstorm, Sandy) and then using agent P to get Spike's pairs of socks and have Spike's only pair of slippers all for himself that's why Spike's toes are cold and what detective Reyburn found was really a deal between Sandy and Mr P where Sandy would take the socks and slippers and Mr P would take the money Sandy had. But there was a big plot hole, why would Sandy want Spike's socks after all the socks are spiked because they're Spike's, it's because Sandy loves everything sandy including the dessert which has cacti or spikes if that's what you want to call it that's why they're really comfortable to him. But there's another big plot hole, why did spike stop talking, the answer is simple he was threatened by Mr P to never speak of what had happened or else he would commit unspeakable deeds to hurt spike and his family and friends, this scared spike so much that he not only did not speak about what happened he never uttered a word again, and just to make sure he never talked again Mr P tricked Dani, as the trickster and Hitman he is, to put Mr P in brawl stars to watch spike.

Oh no! What if Spike witnessed Mr.P kidnapping his soccer mom? And Danny was in on it because she was going to leak info on the next update! They knew they could never catch Spike off guard, so the only way to keep him quiet was to put this sap that Spike was allergic to EVERYWHERE. Spike’s throat swelled up and now he can’t speak, but he’s a plant, so he can breathe through his skin just fine. Meanwhile, Mr. P has taken a liking to taking soccer moms and is stalking his next prey, but Danny has no way of stopping him and can’t let people know because he helped in the first disappearance.

I have a theory. Spike entered Mr.P's motel while on vacation. He brought a bunch of his socks with him,which are extremely valuable in Brawltopia. One day, Spike saw Mr.P and his employee Gale go through his suitcase looking for Spike Socks. When Mr.P knew they were busted,he ordered Gale to freeze Spike,explaining the My Toes Are Cold,and forced Spike to make more spike socks so Mr.P could sell them or they would silence him. Mr.P is also friends with Dani,explaining why he could run these operations in his motel. When Spike returned from the vacation,he was extremely traumatized from the experience and never spoke again. Conclusion:Mr.P and Gale are the criminals behind the voice theft.

Lex, I have a theory that I think ties right in with yours. Mr. P is actually a secret mob boss. Rosa, Bea, Crow, Barley, and Bo are also in this mob. Together, they are blackmailing Supercell (thanks to Mr.P's seemingly close connections with Dani). They are blackmailing Supercell so that they won't give Spikes voice back to him. You see, Mr. P originally blackmailed Supercell into stealing Spike's voice with their advanced technology. He wanted Spikes voice gone so that Spike could not warn the other brawlers of the mob's secret plot. The mob has a system going where they farm a toxin from spikes fruit and steal spikes needles so that crow can make a concoction of the materials and create a deadly poison. This poison is then added to crows daggers and injected into Barleys drinks. I ingested, the toxin either kills the brawler or infects them. Virus 8-bit is the first brawler to have shown the virus caused by all of this. Mr.P is secretly trying to gain control over the entire game. The question is: why?
