You have allready explained the merva digicross situation in another comment but there is still a missplay with the anubis draw/delete effect which will only trigger 2 with the merva combo 1 for playing out merva and once again for mervas on play to bring back 2 more digimon since both were played at the same time anubis will only get to trigger once.

3:23 When you play Mervamon, you have to declare DigiXros as you play it and it reduces the cost up front, it doesn't gain you memory back. If I was at a major tournament and somebody said they were playing Mervamon for 5, resolved their inherited effects to gain memory, and then tried to DigiXros I would be calling a judge. Not sure if it was a misunderstanding about how DigiXros works or just an accidental misplay, but I think it's important to point out. The proper sequence would be to trash 1-3 cards for Anubismon's effect then declare Mervamon as the target. As you play Mervamon, additionally declare that you wish to DigiXros and play Mervamon with the Ignitemon already under it for a net cost of 2 memory if you trashed 3 cards for Anubismon. Then you proceed to resolve the effects that triggered as a result such as the inherited effects, Mervamon's [On Play] effect, and Anubismon's [Your Turn] effect.

Thank you for your feedback. For that specific play, I wanted to show it like this to slowly explain where I get the memorys back from. You will see the correct order of play in the next round of the match and in the next footages. This was more of a one-off explanation for understanding purpose.

I don't mind that tbh since its still in midst of resolving the effects, and they probably don't want interrupt with too much effects in between to make it less confusing

@@yondistcgcorner Thanks for the reply! To be clear, I don’t really have a huge issue with the way you did the memory in regards to the DigiXros, my main issue lies in the sequencing. DigiXros is an interruptive action while playing a Digimon so it needs to be done before you can start activating the inherited effects. Had you done the DigiXros first and then started moving through the other effects I wouldn’t have even commented. But I considered the late DigiXros to be a pretty major sequencing error, coupled with the fact that you brought up the North American finals at the end of the video. With that in mind I thought it warranted pointing out because at a high level tournament like the finals many players, not just myself, would treat that as a fatal mistake and call their opponent out on it. We saw a similar thing play out in the European finals when a Mirage player in Top 4 digivolved into Burst Mode and drew before returning a Thomas to hand, resulting in the judges ruling that he hadn’t paid the alternate cost and had to pay the 5 memory instead.
