This is very cool and affordable! I'm just getting started, so this is perfect. Thought about using a small pancake style air compressor with an air blower with a long extension. Not as portable as this though lol Thank you for all the great info, really helps a newbie like me!

i tried doing practical effect but my camera switches the ffocus to the dirt and my subject got blurry. i use AF C mode

Try auto focusing on the figure, then change to manual focus after it’s locked the focus. Then it can’t loose focus while it’s mid-shot!

I used a 1/6th scale DC direct Batman for a short using footage from 1980s New York crime movies, the scale filled the screen and while cinematic doesn't transfer as a short, my next short will be a thug takedown and I'm feeling some puppetry too ( 😂if it works 😢)
