We are back with another episode of Actions Detrimental with Denny Hamlin. In this episode, Denny and Jared engage in a debate over which drivers will finish higher or lower than their previous year's position. Will we have more winners this year than last year? Denny shares his views on Jared's "not-so-bold" predictions regarding the Daytona 500 and reveals his own predictions for the playoffs this Sunday. Denny also touches on Bubba Wallace's comments in the Full Speed Netflix series and his expectations for team 23XI.
He also breaks down the significance of having more Toyotas in the field this year and whether the new nose on the car will help or hinder the Toyotas.
Denny also shares his favorite Daytona 500 story that didn't result in a victory. Hint: it involves Dale Jr.

The higher or lower thing doesn't make sense. When you look at positions 1-10 for example 1 is on top and 10 is on bottom. So to say below 13th is finishing better is backwards

Austin Dillon is the weak link at RCR, they have missed out on having an "A" driver help develop the cars, setups, and team for years because he was a shoe-in at the 3. RCR has stagnated in gaining performance because instead of signing a GREAT driver as their lead driver, they had AD in there. AD is a good driver, but there is a reason why his last 2 teammates have convincingly beat him and the same reason why RCR has improved substantially in the last couple years vs the decade before that.

No driver in cup has more pressure on them imo than Cindric. You could say Harrison B., but he hasnt won a race. Cindric wins his first race as a full time driver, and has done virtually nothing since. Felt like the only time he was talked about last year was in accidents. Besides that, adding more pressure is the fact his teammates are literally the last 2 cup series champions.....

I think NASCAR shot themselves in the foot with the Next Gen car. It leveled the playing field to the point that ALL teams are within a second or two of each other on the longer tracks (excluding the road courses) to less than a second on the short tracks. It basically takes the crew chiefs out of the equation to a point, and when the pit crews can make/break a race result, I think the argument for some changes to spread out the track times to get more entertainment out of the races. I like motorsports, with rumbly V8s sounding better than the ring-dingy F! stuff, I'm a NASCAR fan. I'd like to see some spreading out the field.
