Hi Jane, happy New Year ❤ taking time to reset is very important, I'm glad you were able to slow down and just rest in your pjs wirh a cuppa😂😂😊 I understand the family connections that you"re talking about, I lived as a child in Liverpool but my parents decided to leave the family behind looking for a better life 40 years ago. I went back 2 years ago with my Spanish husband and I cried of joy when I saw many of the sites, and enjoyed the local food. Unfortunately I don't have any living relatives to ask about sowing or knitting, but it was still a very memorable journey. Recharge completely and see you back in your house in Scotland to enjoy your crafts❤ lots of love from Spain😘

What a great spot, Jane! Despite us visiting a Northumberland beach every other Sunday, I don't think I've ever been to Boulmer. Must add it to the list! So glad that you've had a lovely time away (despite the weather) and it's so good to see Dixie having fun on the beach. Sending tummy tickles her way. x

Thank you Sharon. It’s a lovely beach for birds - lots of weed and rock pools means lots of bird life! Dixie loved it. And the sunrises were spectacular. X

Lucky you. Berwick Upon Tweed is furthest north I’ve been! Outrageous I know , but it is a beautiful place. I’m going to see if I can track down Beadnell beach in the future.

Have a Guid New Year. What a wonderful part of the year to spend it in, though I suspect the weather wasn’t great, it wasn’t in Fife where I am. I vote we should bring back tray cloths, so much nicer than a bare plastic tray ! or maybe I’m a bit odd still using them.
@snapdragonlife6 күн бұрын
Thank you. We’ve been really lucky with the weather- very accurate daily forecasts meant we could pick our time for walks and then coorie in when the sleet came! You may be right about tray cloths. Certainly I’ve begun to wear aprons more in an attempt to cut down on laundry! J x

Happy New Year to you and yours Jane. So glad you had good news about your lovely dog. I joined the Studio Club before Christmas and I am very much looking forward to 'Stitched'. My mum did beautiful embroideries to pass the time while dad was in the army during WW2 and stitching has become my passion in my retirement from full time teaching. See you on Tuesday!

Happy New Year. You just reminded me of a cardigan my Mum knitted for me, as a child, which she embroidered daises on. I embroidered when younger but rarely do these days. It is having a practical use for it, or elevating the mundane to something a little bit special, like a plain blue cardigan, much loved by a daughter. xxx
