I’m from the Middle East and I’ve never stepped into delta country let alone the USA, yet Juniors Kimbrough’s music resonates with me and will forever be dear to me. Junior inspired me to learn the guitar, now I know 2 of his songs, more to come. His music is never tiring. I hope he’s smiling over every time I play or listen to him

When a person "hears" the Blues, they change. Deep down inside, within their Heart of Hearts. It is like finding a long lost brother. The smile they smile, is a brave, loving smile. The Blues have a way of unifying life's mysteries with it powerful healing magic. the Blues tell us a story. Retold over a million times, it offers something new , with each reiteration. It is a primal force. It makes men into a MAN, and women into a WOMAN. It brings us hope, joy, and solace. the Blues can bring tears to your eyes, and it will dry them as well. This music brings people together. It is more about what we all share, and have in common. I love the Blues more and more , because of it's diversity, and appeal. Because it is constantly reinventing it's sound with every new bluesman who sings, plays, and lives in the sanctified neon light of bars, clubs, festivals, basements, one room apartnents, garages, back porches, juke joints, or any place you may be. Most of all the spirit of the Blues lives in our hearts, ready to be a guiding light when we are down. A friend once said to me, " If you don't love the Blues, you have a hole in your soul " and he is so right. Here's why: The Blues has 3 chords, 12 bars, and one story to tell. It ain't black, it ain't white, it's just the Blues. Now, get out there, and get you some. Much love to all my soul brothers, and sisters. I'm gone to pitch me a wang dang doodle, all night long !
