I spent my 35th Birthday in Paris and Versailles and did the tour of the palace, with hundreds of other tourists so seeing you girls walk around the virtually empty space honestly gave me goosebumps; it must have been so incredible. And YES, Josie, go back to tour the gardens, we spent hours and hours walking and touring the vast gardens; it was in mid June with perfect weather and was unforgettable. Also, the surrounding cafe's and eateries are wonderful too. I'm going back again this summer! Gorgeous vlog, loved it very much!xx

As a make-up artist myself I think you are contouring to high on the cheek bones maybe apply the bronzer down a bit under the cheek and apply a very light covering of pink blush on the cheek bones and then you highlight about the cheek bone. Hope that helps x

Looks like a cedar tree - we had a huge one in our grounds at school in Faringdon and loved it. Very majestic. Needle and Thread do make glamour fun. St Pancras amazing architecture and has the statue of John Betjaman in it and The Kiss statue which is a huge art installation. We should be very proud of the amazing architecture.

Top tip: Worth booking a row boat with Charlie inside the lake in the garden and bring your fan and parisole. It's tiring for the rower, so choose a milder day to venture on the lake. Great content to be made there, with the palace in your background. You're also welcome to bring your own foods, just not alcohol. The versaille cafe is average, but book yourself at the restaurants of Trianon if you wish to splurge. Live between Paris, Hong Kong and summer in the Riviera 😉

I can see why everything is so expensive as I guess the cost of perfumes makeup etcetera is all the free trips and samples they give out to promote their products you work really hard with your podcasts but not all the promotions are worth the amount that is added on each item we want to buy I wish they would spend less on promoting their items to bring the cost down for everyone as I am sure if they told us how much each item cost to make it would be very small compared to the cost we pay surely letting people like you promote their product would be far better on the cost to them and us who buy their products

I’m a very small older creator, the ads in Vogue TV & Streaming platform ads would be much MUCH more expensive than gifting creators a trip. Ad budget is set regardless, and whilst this may look like fun it’s still a job and editing and re-editing for brands takes up a lot of time and energy.

The products costed the amount before they started using bloggers to promote them. Cle du peau has always been a Luxury brand so I don’t think brand trips have anything to do with the cost of product.

The reason that brands promote through social media creators, influencers etc is because it IS less expensive and more effective believe it or not than the way they used to use advertising funds and efforts. It's sooooo much cheaper to do these events. Let's say they invited 20 influencers. It cost the same amount to have 1 ONE,Uno,Un, ad in Vouge. By using influencers, they just got 20 ads. Each one having up to 1 million followers JUST on KZbin ... they saved a TON.

Using influencers to promote products makes marketing more obvious, but marketing is nothing new, and as others have said, I'm not even sure it's the most expensive. I'm sure back in the day, it'd be fashion editors who'd attend press trips, who'd then go on to promote products (and you wouldn't know that they'd been on a press trip). I think I'm more likely to buy a product because Josie recommends it, rather than a faceless fashion editor, purely because I know what she stands for, and trust her not to promote something just because she's being paid to do so.

When you and Charlie go back to Versailles you’ve got to stay at Airelles, Le Grande Controle. The hotel is literally part of the Chateau. Every morning and every night you get a private tour of different parts of the Chateau as part of your stay. Also, you have golf carts at your disposal so you can explore the grounds. There are only 13 suites so it’s very private, intimate and extremely romantic. The staff is dressed in authentic 17th century clothing and the entire hotel is period correct down to the china. There are LaDuree macarons everywhere so you can eat them at libitum lol. The staff treats you like royalty. You would absolutely love it there! My husband and I have traveled extensively and this was by far our favorite place we have ever stayed.

Dear Joesie, a lovely Vlog. I loved seeing you doing makeup with your friend. You were indeed fun to watch. I kind of look more like her myself and would definitely check her vlogs. I was very surprised with your choice of dresses. I remember Paris in March and especially Versaille as a rather cold experience😂. I have a small tip for you the next time you go to Versailles and want a magical experience and great pictures. First of all you need to opt for mai or even the summer. AND that's the TIP. You can literally book a room in the parts of Versailles where Marie- Antoinette actually lived. She didn't like the castle. She built herself a small village. You have the possibility to see the gardens for yourself when the main doors are closed. P.s. back in the time I spend 2 weeks with a family as an exchange student. They were direct neighbours to the castle. You walked out of the front door to enter the gardens.
