A Night of Sparring at the Elephant Homestead 🐘

Sparring was the common theme at the homestead on this evening. Jabulani and Lundi begin sparring on one side of the homestead, with Zindoga and Bubi soon joining in. It was a lively evening filled with playful energy and bonding.

Love the way Lundi will not let a spot of sparring interrupt her midnight snack 😄🐘And Jabulani rolling around on the ground for his sand bath and getting up is just so sweet and funny😍🐘. It's amazing how agile eles are considering how massive they are. ❤❤

Looks like sleep is the last thing on this family’s minds tonight (it’s just after 2 am here in AZ and I can’t sleep either)it looks like everyone thoroughly enjoyed their sparring party,I loved seeing the tender moments between Lundi and Mr. Mischief this whole video had me smiling the entire way through;I so enjoy that we now get peeks into Ellie nightlife thanks to the cameras. @@marie.1111 I live in Nordic countries. Now it's day time. We have a summer, it is so hot. 30 degrees Celsius in my apartment. No "ventilation". We have such a short summer, and the long winter season. Thankfully we have solid warm houses, with with winter in mind. Pardon my outpouring. Lots of all the best to you 😊👋🌷🌷🦋.

These sparring sessions between mothers and offsprings truly foster stronger bonds between them. I love how the youngsters learn so much from their mothers and father figures, because the adults indulge them with similar activities. And I love how HERD chooses who stays with who in which part of the homestead. Every young ellie has both a mother and father figure who will nurture and guide them throughout their lifetime. I don't know how I missed this adorable video! Lundi and Jabu have a wonderful bond! I remember when Jabu chased away the HUGE herd of buffalo...it was Lundi who was behind him! same as when Lundi did the same two times...it was Jabu behind her! She allows Jabu to discipline Mambo...and I love their deep bond of trust! Bubi and Zindoga are so close! She clearly has the power to push him away...yet she teaches him the important steps to sparring when not with his mentor Somopane. Bubi is fearless and I suspect Zindoga will follow suit! Such beautiful moments on display here! Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments with us all! P.S. I wonder if all the elephants sleep on their right side? 😀

It was so nice to see mom and son playing together and at first I was concerned but I do know that if Zendoga got out of hand with his mom that mom Lundi would her let her son know that he was a bit rough with her and she probably would definitely put a stop to it. It to me is like a human parent or Uncle just having a play moment with their child or nephew or niece. Jabulani and Lundi had a nice spar with each other for sure. It was all fun and they all did seem quite gentle too. It was nice to see Jabulani having a rest and a sand bath good. I do hope he is doing well since his issue? I also hope that Fishon is doing well too since I don’t get to see him often in videos or I just maybe miss him. It’s really cool to see a female spar and play, especially with the size gap between her and Jabu. Jabu does his best to play nice even despite that size gap, not wanting to hurt his friend. This has to be my favorite elephant trio in the herd so far, they’re always up to something! Also random question but when Jabu was an orphan, who was his surrogate mother? Khanyisa has Lundi, phabeni has setombe, but when Jabu was an orphan who was his?
