A Night Under The Stars And Sunrise On Bow Fell

On my second day in the Lake District, I headed for Crinkle Crags. The climb was tough in the heat, but the views along the ridge that i followed were incredible.
I spent the night just below the summit of Crinkle Crags, where I bivvied and enjoyed a stunning night sky. It was all rather soul touching and I slept well afterwards.
I rose before 4 am to make the short ascent to Bow Fell, where I was treated to a gorgeous sunrise behind The High Street Ridge. What a great trip it was.

Tremendous conditions Dan and what a sunrise 😎. I've done Bowfell and the Crinkles twice and the weather was pretty grim both times. 😭
