Thank you for that Paul. I'm not sure you realise just how much satisfaction your videos provide for those of us who yearn to be doing what you are doing but are otherwise housebound. Keep up the good work and keep living the dream. 😊👏

If your bivy is long enough, try putting your pack at the bottom of the bivy bag. It will lift the top of the bivy up off of you and give you a bit more airflow 👌

At 6ft4 I was contemplating cutting open the foot end of my bivvy and just leaving my boots on ;-)
3:15 I slept in front of here in a sleeping bag and orange survival bag. I was 18 at the time, 52 now. Thanks for the video Paul.

Dear Paul, first I want to say that the view from up there is just amazing and the weather conditions I think were ideal, so we all enjoyed your shots! Personally I would not feel very comfortable inside a Bivi, due to the limited space. I think a one man tent would be my bare minimum. Keep up the great work!

Wow you picked an awesome day for Helvellyn Paul. Thank you for sharing this. Blown away. If your video is this amazing, I can't imagine what it would of been like to be there and experience those views, the sunset and sunrise for real. Never have I been lucky enough for weather like that in the lakes. I hope one day I'll get lucky. But nevertheless, it's always been worth while, even in the rain. 😂 I did my first wild camp last week over 3 days. Stayed at Sickle tarn (Grassmere) one night, absolutely stunning place to camp! #LNT

I defy anyone not to love the views from the high fells in the Lakes. Incredible weather for March. I tend to camp on the lower fells. Less folk about.

@Dee Canter Very safe. Far more so than walking around a city centre, you'll find. Lots of solo female campers on the sites. I use Castlerigg Hall. Everyone is really respectful & helpful, on the fells & on the camp sites.

Great video as usual Paul . Not sure about the bivvy. For me I think a 3x3 tarp in a tent configuration would have been equally as light for carrying ,and also the indoor space it creates for sitting, cooking and sleeping would have been my choice. Thanks again tho

My fave Helvellyn.Took my son camping at the foot near Ulswater(he was around 11)We started off in a thick fog.As we got to Red Tarn and Striding Edge the the sky was a crisp clear blue. The fells of the Lakes were islands in a sea of mist.Burned in my minds eye that image.

Great vide..I've watched scores of your videos and that was one of the most fantastic. Occasionally you just know what the weather is going to do. You know it's going to be perfect and you'll get a Sunset and sunrise. It doesn't happen very often. Glad you enjoyed it. Still think for the weight a 1 man tent is better than a bivvy though.
