This video is not intended to replace medical advice. This is for information purposes only.
If your child has anxiety or OCD the brain loves to tune into the worry channel. These thoughts can consume a young brain and make it almost impossible to focus on anything else.
In this week’s Kids KZbin video I teach kids how to take back their mind with this ninja tip.

This probably works i many cases, but one caution is that this can lead to compulsive maladaptive daydreaming which becomes a way to compulsively to avoid the intrusive thought in the first place. In many cases its probably better to just bite the bullet and let the intrusive thought play out... If the situation is bad, it may be better to reschedule the test or meeting in order to get that exposure done... but every situation is different. That being said, I love your videos! Its been a great help to my family!

Thank you so much Mrs Daniels for doing these videos. They make it so much easier for me to help my 6 year old understand and visualize what is happening. Some of the images like the little girl/boy afraid I noticed where a trigger but over all it allows him to see what plays out in his head. I’m going to have to pour over these to help him and prepare him for this fight. It breaks my heart so young and so helpless. One day at time. These make it easier because at least I have armory to supply.

How can I get my anxious son to watch you. 🤗He’s afraid of the anxiety stigma so he pretends he doesn’t need help. He’s 11.
