One thing maybe someone can let them know that what the pioneers here in USA was did to stay warm in the winter was they put the decent size stones in the fire and get them hot. Then wrap them in some cloth and put them in the blankets at your feet, near chest. Whatever is safe to not burn themselves You can get a lot of heat released in those rocks and even more so the longer they are in the fire. But please be extremely careful that no one gets burned.
