This is helpful, practical advice for new photographers. In particular... I think it's great for those who've sculpted wonderful art/jewelry pieces but aren't able to show them on their website or Etsy shop quite how they'd like to, capturing all the details in a pleasing way, with adequate light. I think y'all covered it really well!

It's really nice of you to put videos of anything related to sculpture. People can actually learn pretty much anything they need to be almost professional sculpters - with a lot of practice, obviously. Good job on the video too, very helpful!

Really really appreciate the intro to this. So many people who are super passionate about what they do will insist you need to do it right and learn everything correctly from the ground up in order to get what you want out of it. But time is finite! Sometimes you just need to get to a spot of competence as quickly as possible, and that isn't necessarily the same path as learning with an intent to master it!

Really been curious about this myself so thank you for all that you do! :)

I randomly came across one of your sculpey 101 videos and my god I am hooked. I have wanted to begin but was wondering if you were ever gonna make a tutorial on small full body figures and if not do you have any suggestions?

I might do a full body series at some point. I honestly just don't think I'm good enough to teach that yet. As for other places... All the really good classes make you pay. :(

i see you have not hit that sweetspot in math yet. mirror the curve on the y=x axis and it is fine. currently you are suggesting you have to invest a loooot of time and then you hit a spot where you suddenly get pro by just spending a few moments. ^^ also: thank you for the video it is great. i just thought i should tell you about the graph for the future. i hope i didn't hurt anyone.

I really was hoping for something more technical. I need to learn to create something professional. I bought a professional camera for this task. A little frustrating.

Maria I'm a photographer. This lady talks about fundamentals and the most important thing in photography IS lighting. It doesn't need to get more technical than this, as Josh mentioned the learning curve. This should be enough for beginners but you can improve on it like anything else you want to improve on.
