At my home, ginger is a staple!! I love ginger in my foods, I use it all the time, but I will be trying your unconventional take on the traditional but classic, GINGER BEER drink! Cheers!!!

I grated my 1lb ginger and placed it inside a pressure cooker with 2 liters of water. I get it just under 15 lbs pressure and let it sit 1 hour. BTW, my version uses 1lb ginger, 1 qt of lime juice, 4 lbs of sugar. Strain the ginger and add the sugar and lime juice. Add water to top off to 8 liters or 2 gallons.

You could put the ginger in the blender, then boil it,strain it, let it sit..sweeten it etc..Jamaican.style
