Just curious, cause I wanna start hitting more tense stuff; but are the bottoms of those big falls usually cut out deep because of the water fall? And are there any boulders you’d have to worry about crashing in to underwater after falling 40+ ft?

Disclaimer: I don't have any experience in whitewater kayaking. I think that's why they look for the boils to be kinda large and almost flattened/spread out, because it means they're coming from a deeper depth and have more time to expand and gently float up rather than bouncing off the bottom violently. Any harshness or irregularities/inconsistencies in the boil indicate that there is something underneath the water that is deflecting the stream away from where the boil would naturally appear.

Yeah lets talk about how awesome country China is that the real challenge of doing sports in nature is having connections and getting permissions. I was thinking about running this waterfall myself and to be honest, it´s not really a hard one right?:-) Also you will definitely not get shot in Vietnam, the Vietnam war is already over.
