I've got to agree with you about the difficulty of vanilla PZ. It's a lot of fun until you hit that grind wall and then it seems like you can never get anything done because you're chasing a hundred fires.

I do sort of wish PZ had a “bare bones” ending, like finding a safe zone or getting a helicopter out of the area but only if you want to. Similar to Rimworld, where you could (technically) run your game forever without ever taking off into space. Just my opinion though.

​@@gnupfo The issue with this is that it just... isn't. Aside from bugs and old age. I've had solo vanilla saves that essentially reached a point where nothing in-game could possibly pose a threat. Farms, Water, year of stockpiles, personal armory, multi-layered walls, etc. - And with mods, like the survivor mod, you can actually sort of see what that would actually BE like, as you can actually man your mega compound with guards, farmers, mechanics, etc. and go on outings with 20+ people armed with ARs and just completely clear entire cities. Even on nearly unplayable jacked up max difficulty settings, with modded loot rates to spawn LESS loot, it's still FAR too easy to survive and even essentially thrive. Which... should, probably, have an actual ending. Even if it's just something like stockpile 10,000 units of food or something like that, it would be nice to have, y'know, SOMETHING to work towards, especially once you reach that point where survival just... isn't an issue.

Interesting tidbit Often like when you were firing your shotgun from the Humvee, that much gunfire causes the barrel to heat up, sometimes even becoming red hot and *glowing*. Kenneth has to turn on the AC to stop it getting too toasty in the cab

With mods and double XP, the game looks like fun. I've been looking at the game and it seems the developer doesn't want you to have fun, but to suffer. Everything players think of to control the hordes gets patched out. Though with the amount of shooting you've done and not at max stats, I'd say it should be triple XP.

The hoarder inside of me dies seeing all those unlooted bodies. If i play this again with friends I want a mod, that will display the loot in a small area rather than individual zombie corpses
