So sorry to hear about A.P. Indy's passing today, at Age 31.😢 He won the 1992 Belmont Stakes, tied with Easy Goer's 1989 time, with the second fastest time, behind Secretariat's 1973 Belmont Stakes, who has the fastest time. A.P. Indy, won the 1992 Breeders Cup, and he was the 1992 Horse of the Year. A.P. Indy, was the son of 1977 Triple Crown Winner, Seattle Slew, and his Grandsire, was the 1973 Triple Crown Winner, Secretariat. A.P. Indy, now joins his Father, Seattle Slew, and his Grandfather, Secretariat, and his half brother, Swale, who won the 1984 Kentucky Derby, and Belmont Stakes, and who was also the son of Seattle Slew, in Heaven.

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY AP INDY! The only horse whose father (SEATTLE SLEW) & grandfather ( SECRETARIAT) ARE BOTH TRIPLE CROWN WINNERS and whose daughter (RAGS TO RICHES) is the only filly who won the BELMONT STAKES AT A MILE AND A HALF. (the other fillies at lesser distance). AP INDY is absolute royalty. Great horse!

Just found out of his passing today, April 26, 2022. He had a long run of it and went peacefully and not tragically! That's the best part of it! He's now joined the rest of his great lineage and now runs for the sheer joy of it! RUN IN PEACE, AP!

I just heard about A.P. Indy’s passing today, as well as the great Arrogate, who passed at only age 7 in June 2020. I guess my mind had been in other places with all the delays and changes in thoroughbred racing this year. This is such sad news, but A.P. lived a loved, well-cared for and long life. I feel for his groom and others who knew him because of their sense of loss. The same holds true for Arrogate. I can’t mourn for all the colts and fillies he didn’t get to pass his bloodlines on to; I miss the horse. His death at age 7 was tragic, whatever the reasons.

1st of all, the Farish's are wonderful people who love their horses with every fiber of their being. They were put on this earth to care for and nurture these horses. Same goes for their staff. AP would've acted incredibly differently in this video had this not been the case. 2nd of all this horse was 30 years old in this video, which is the tail end of a horse's lifespan. 3rd of all, it was winter when this video was shot, meaning his coat was kept long to accommodate for the weather. I had the absolute privilege of witnessing the care this horse got first hand and it was nothing short of fit for royalty. Before you comment something as hateful and frankly, uneducated as this, I suggest you do some research.
