Interesting bit of trivia. The dog you meet at the dam, Buckley, that was a thoughtful gift of Naughty Dog to the voice actor of Joel, Troy Baker. While they were making the game, Troy's dog, Buckley passed away. They never told Troy about putting him in the game, so it was a pleasant and emotional surprise for Troy when he played the game came across him.

After the raid. When Joel checks on Ellie and her mouth is running a mile a minute. Joel just wants to make sure she is safe. In that moment you can see from Tommy's perspective that they clearly care for each other and that is probably why he agrees to take her to the Fire Flies. Only to be followed by that incredible performance in the Bedroom speech. in the making of the game, this was the scene they used for the chemistry test of the voice actors and oh man did they nail it Pls watch the grounded documentary after the game+dlc

I know it was last episode but the performance by everyone, but particularly Henry's voice actor in THAT scene is truly sensational. The 'it's all your fault' line hits me to my core, full of guilt, blame and grief. At that brief moment we don't realise he's blaming himself.. Until we do. Haunting. From a writing perspective it is a genius device to make us realise the emotional weight that Joel is carrying with losing Sarah and his reluctance to bear that weight once more, something which immediately comes to light in this episode with him wanting to leave Ellie with Tommy. Truly brilliant writing.

At 10:30 you’re thinking of aerated water, commonly used at water treatment plants and elsewhere. At a treatment plants the bubbles are coming from the bottom, making it nearly impossible for anything to float.

Imo, the show does several (most) things even better than the game. They really understood the assignment of how to adapt and adjust the story for the medium. But play the DLC first.

I first played TLoU about a year after my dad died. I basically spent the entire scene after Joel got impaled having a minor panic attack because it was so disturbing to me to be playing the POV of a guy who was bleeding to death. In the Remastered version the audio kept fading in and out as Ellie was talking to him and we could feel Joel's heartbeat in the controller.

The tv show is fantastic in my opinion, so worth a watch! You can definitely watch it after finishing part 1, there are no spoilers for part 2 of the game in season 1 of the show (with the exception of 1 easter egg you wont even notice). So doesn't matter if you watch before or after playing part 2.

It's an Eddie. Best I can describe it, it's like a horizontal whirlpool. It pulls you to the center an holds you there

There is also a phenomenon when the water is super aerated (think of the base of a waterfall or any industrial style tabk). The millions of air bubbles actually lower the density of the water. It becomes so anti buoyant that anything that enters it, including us, would just sink to the bottom. It's incredibly scary lol

If you want to watch season one of the tv show you can. There aren't any explicit spoilers for the second game, but there are hints and nods to it, and they explore some of the 2nd game's non-main story material a little early, I'm assuming so they didn't have to fit it into season 2 of the show. Like I said, no spoilers, it won't give away anything, but I would rather people play the second game 100% blind rather than, say 98% blind ya know? It's ultimately up to you. Idk if it would really change your experience or not.

The game came a long way from the series and I was extremely disappointed with the series. the characters only half fit and Bill and his story completely screwed them up by exaggerating massively... for someone who doesn't know the games it might be a good series.
