@@niyaodom1944 I think that's why a lot of people were upset how he died, because he did run through a lot of groups of people, that had more people then the WLF did when he died, usually he wouldn't let his gaurd down like that, which is what upset people. But they don't remember the fact that he changed after Ellie, and he was with tommy for four years in jackson, he wasn't really fighting a lot of people I am sure, mostly just infected, so he had kind of settled down and become more chill and relaxed, which unforunately ended up blowing up in his face, because he trusted Abby when she said that they had a place near by, and never thought twice about it.

@selfmademan165 yeah they dumbed down the bad ass survivor so he would be dumb enough to walk into the center of a room surrounded by strangers. @mostsanemitskifan17 күн бұрын
@@ProperlyGaming i don’t really think they dumbed him down. i think it showed how ellie had broken down his walls and he was more willing to let people in because of that, as well as the fact that he was living in jackson with ellie for a full 5 years after the events of the first game, so jackson is bound to have lowered his expectations of how bad people can actually be outside the walls. although i do miss joel so much 😣🙏💔 i think that the last of us 2 was an absolute masterpiece, and ellie pretty much ‘turning into joel’ because of his said death was done really really well 🤷♀️ idk tho, everyone is allowed their own opinion. that’s just my one.

The graphic wise was stunning hands down, voice acting amazing, and raw emotion facial expressions excellent. But the story and how they put stuff in certain place is soo wack and unnecessary that’s my main problem the game especially Abby ex boyfriend messing with Abby and her pregnant girlfriend weird stuff. Edit: I’ve play this game remastered on the ps5 giving benefit of the doubt with good intentions but the story is a mess and especially revenge & forgiveness also moving on it was soo mess up in my head. I’m story kind of guy and the game story was so outta place for me in my opinion.
@joynerlee-hansberry34622 ай бұрын
@@reborngreatnesss5712 I disagree- I think the detail in Abby's story was important for a few reasons. Owen was important as he was the voice of reason for Abby, he's the only one who suggested she might be going too far for revenge. Mel's story and ending puts Dina on the chopping block, adding a level of suspense for players who make the connection. The overall themes are love, revenge, violence, and trauma, and I think everything in the story has a point of some kind. The death of Abby's friends (and her story overall) wouldn't have had as much of an impact if the audience didn't get invested. I think they did exactly what they should have done.

It was heartbreaking no doubt about it, but i have total respect for Naughty Dog for doing it, it was a brave storytelling decision and makes the rest of the story even more powerful. It showed nobody was safe in the world of TLOU, even our heroes. Few games have the balls to do stories like this. The fact that a game moved me to tears is an achievement. This game series affected me in the same way the very best movies do, TLOU 2 is up there with the early seasons of Game of Thrones in terms of how impactful the story is.

@@Spam591_ With all due respect, I disagree. I thought the game tried too hard to make us feel like Joel was the bad guy and Abby the victim, although they were, respectively. But it wasn't done in a good way. Abby's motivations and reasoning were weak in my opinion. Sure Joel was selfish and brutal, sure that doctor didn't deserve to end like this. But how can you hold such a grudge in this fckd up world? Nothing is fair, and NOTHING IS PERSONAL, they should all know the rules. Besides, how many Abbys did Abby created throughout her adventure? How many fathers, mothers, daughters and brothers did she killed? It's a never-ending cycle that she participates in, well, that she is fueling even, yet the game seemed to only want to teach that lesson to Ellie. That felt wrong to me. That's only my opinion and, again, I respect yours. Also, to be 100% honest my memories of the game are getting a bit old. So maybe we could have a talk under the videos of this series as it's progressing. I'd love that, it could be interesting I think. Anyway, cheers.

Its definitely worth it. When I finished it I enjoyed the hell out of it and yeah some parts personally I feel that they couldve done better but the death of Joel was supposed to be like this. If Joel died in a blaze of glory then the feeling of wanting for revenge wouldn't be as good. Joel dying like that is showing how that in this world of The Last of us anything and everything can happen. It shows how brutal and torturing it is. Try to look at his death like this, its the best thing I can tell you. Love you Jett hope you continue the playthrough.
@swervecitydreams9 ай бұрын
Hey, man. I totally get how jarring that scene is to see the first time. And I think it’s great that it’s got you fired up. It’s a testament to the story and the medium that people get so invested in these stories and characters. I hope as the story unfolds you see it a bit like myself, being that it’s not so much about revenge, but love and what we do to protect the people we love and the horrible things that can come of it. I love this game, but it’s very different than the first. It is going to be a lot of pain, but I think it’s deeply human. The game has flaws for sure, but I think ND took a lot of risks to make a game like this that was guaranteed to split the fanbase. I did not have fun with this game, but I loved how invested I was emotionally. Just know, the way you feel right now Is exactly how the game wants you to feel. Just keep yourself open to experiencing other characters’ perspectives. I’m looking forward to watching you play this game. ✌🏼✌🏼

i think its one of the most real deaths in games imo. like a hardcore dude who let himself get soft made a mistake that got himself killed. it wasnt heroic or brave, thats not joel. he was cruel and mean and ruthless. his past came to bite him in the ass. thats why its so tragic to me. like the 20 years of being, in tess's own words, "shitty people" made joel that way, but ellie was his path to redemption. a redemption he might not have deserved, but one that helped us connect us to him. his death this way also puts us right into ellies mental position, like we didn't have enough time with him, we're heart broken and angry and confused. it sets up the whole games feeling and drives us as the player forward.

My favorite way to describe these games is a simple fruit analogy. The first game represented by an apple, great fruit, simple, not very complicated to eat but a classic regardless. This one is more like an orange. It's a little difficult to understand at first, theres a weird skin to it, it's stringy, it's tangy, it's pulpy but such a good fruit in its own right. The problem that happened was a group of people bit the orange as if it was an apple and thought it tasted bad and stopped trying to eat, or some even suffered through eating the skin and ended up hating it. I hope you take the time to understand and enjoy the orange! It's really good imo. Also thanks for making content, it consistently brightens my day.

They love the relationship between Joel and Ellie. Yes it's going to fucking hurt. This is the inciting incident. Every story has one. Most are just a boring plot point to get the ball rolling.
