🌻 ABOUT COSMOPOLITAN CORNBREAD 🌻
In 2016 my husband and I retired from active duty army family life and planted roots in Alabama. We started a homestead from scratch, and shared that journey here on KZbin. In 2022 we answered the call to the mountains of Arkansas, where we are starting that journey once again.
I post videos to encourage families to embrace growing food, cooking real food and living a simpler, slower, faith-filled life. I am a whole bible believer, and share my passions for the home and the Father.
Here on Cosmopolitan Cornbread some of what you will see include:
🌻 Cooking from Scratch 🌻Homesteading
🌻 Raising Chickens 🌻 Raising Goats
🌻 Gardening 🌻 Organic Gardening 🌻 Food Preservation
🌻 Bible Devotionals 🌻 Women Homesteaders
🌻DIY 🌻 Natural Living 🌻 Natural Health
🌻 Home Ec Lessons 🌻 How to Cook, Bake and Can
Getting back to the basics as the Father intended.

This is so true. The 100 acre farm I grew up on had a huge dirt storage underneath the 120 yr old farm house. My grandmother had 50 huge built shelves that were full with canned goods & on the floor we stored our potatoes, apples etc. My grandmother was a widow 3 times and birthed 9 children in that farm house & lived until 93 @ home with her grandchildren who worshiped her! We had meat chickens, beef, pigs horses & a 3 acre vegetable garden. I thought everyone had acres of vegetables Lol. Thank you!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s

I'm single, widowed, and on a limited budget, but since 2020 I have been reliving the lessons I learned from my grandmothers, aunts and my Mom. They always had stocked pantries, ready for emergencies and had financial and common sense lessons. I've always kept a good pantry stocked, but after my husband passed, I slacked a bit. Now I know I'm the only one to take care of my home and animals, I am stocking for me, my dog, and my chickens! I have a small garden, too. I love this life, truly!

My mother grew up in the countryside during the war everyone had gardens and grew food. My grandmother and mother kept a pantry as a result.bHaving married a husband from an industrial area where gardens were small or non existent my sister and I always teased Mam about her need to store food! We used to say why keep a cupboard full of food when there's a shop just down the road. HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED. This is my first year of growing food and I started canning last year, both my sister and I have a pantry. I live in Wales UK and we're quite unusual, most people haven't even heard of canning or bottling as we call it here

Thank you Constance! I got up this morning feeling a little overwhelmed with life. I prayed and asked Abba to help me with my doubt today. And I listened to this video and after your reading of of the Messiahs words, tears filled my eyes and a peace filled my spirit! Thank you for your encouragement!

New subscriber! Thank you for sharing God’s word about helping others in a crisis. In 1996 we lost power for 8 days following a hurricane and my granny’s neighbor went around the neighborhood running the elderly peoples freezers for a few hours each day to keep them from losing their food. I often think how many prayers she prayed and how her faith must have been strengthened when the neighbor stopped by with his generator. As she always would say, “The Lord has an extra star for your crown in heaven” and I believe that young man does. Thank you again for sharing God’s word!

When I started my canning and pantry storage I was doing it so that our family would always have something to eat and things to sustain them. For the past two Sundays our Pastor preached on generosity and what it meant to be generous with others. I am thankful that our pantry is getting full so that we can help others. Because of my health issues there are a whole lot of things that I can not do, but I can share Jesus as I share our pantry with others. Thank you for this video. Have a blessed week.

I have the same issue ( health limits). I really enjoy canning, dehydrating. I have always enjoyed cooking for my family and friends. I enjoy giving food to others. I am blessed to be able to bless those God leads me to bless. I work at my church food pantry and enjoy so much. God bless you in your service for Him!

You just came up on my youtube feed :) What a blessing! Three years ago, I stood in my pantry and prayed to become the Proverbs 31 wife. It's been such a journey of faith and I stand in awe of what I have accomplished - with the help of my husband and the guidance of the Lord! I have learned how to can, how to dehydrate, how to properly store dry foods for long term, and properly freeze foods.... how to make granola, and ghee - shelf stable forever....I'm even learning how to make condiments and herbs....It's fun and what a feeling of accomplishment! I pray that every household receives the Proverbs 31 anointing! "Deep calls to deep." Your spiritual walk with the Lord and impartations to your listeners is what pantry stockers need! I noticed your necklace right away and knew I had to take a listen. Now I'm subscribed!🥰

So enjoyed your video and fully agree. My husband thinks I have an obsession w/ putting everything in jars. LOL . But I do feel I need to kinda stock up for food and supplies, not for just us, but for my kids and their families. I planted pole beans in raised beds. I am not getting a lot, but I will pick every bean until there are no more to pick and can what I can can, because I feel if God provided for me these beans, then I need to take care of what is there. Maybe next year my harvest will be greater. You are such an inspiration! God Bless you!

A good word today Constance. Your name meaning “steadfastness”/“constant”! ❤ we always pray to hold everything with an open hand and may you never have to pry my fingers off of anything. We just finished Genesis which ends with Joseph and Yah providing for Jacob’s family. My take away has been that although Joseph made provisions for 7 yrs, Jacob’s family got comfy living in Egypt and as a result the Israelites became enslaved. Don’t get comfy in the provisions, don’t get lazy and whatever you do don’t become enslaved to them.

You go girl!!!! The only person I've ever heard tell people that God will provide, and that is the most important thing to stock up on, faith! Faith in our Holy Father who will provide for all our needs. I have heard many prophetic messages of him telling us to prepare at least 7 weeks of food and Sundries, but I also heard a prophetic message that said knowing his word will offer far more than anything we could ever collect and store! Amen and God Bless you, you beautiful soul!

We have kept a well stocked pantry since 1999… Remember Y2K? It was not a big deal in reality… But, back then, during the High Holy Days our congregation had a 7 day prayer vigil. And one of the things the Holy One laid on our hearts was to have 6 months to a year of non perishable foods we normally eat. And to continually rotate your food storage. So… when the grocery stores here were being effected by panic buying in the past couple years, we were already well prepared to withstand the supply chain issues. And our trust in the Holy One is above all! Amen and Amen! Good teaching!

I absolutely agree! We must first prepare ourselves and be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is thru the Spirit that He will speak to us and give us wisdom, direction, and peace. I have been stocking and preparing at the direction of the Lord since the early part of last year. I have peace and am fully trusting in the Lord to see me through and use me to help others if and when needed. During the height of the last big scare the Lord gave me three words: PEACE PROTECTION PROVISION. I will continue walking in all three! Thank you for sharing this video, praying for you and your family to be blessed with continued blessings!

About 12 years ago, several before I was going to retire from the army, I told my family that when I retired, I was buying an acreage that we may have to basically survive on. I was lovingly teased by the daughters saying 'you just want to be an old grumpy hermit and live back somewhere in the trees. The girls have moved on with their lives. I am now living on an acreage 'surrounded by trees'! They lived with us until a few years ago. Living just a few miles away and seeing all the worldwide chaos they have a clear understanding why I am living here 'in the trees.' There is an independent fresh water well, a small, raised bed garden that I will be expanding, and a green house. Next year the chicken coop will be built. I grew up in a rural area, partly on my grandparent's farm. My grandfather was a butcher, so I learned how to skin out a cow, butcher a hog, salt the belly side for bacon, grind the leg meats for hamburger. I used to milk 84 twice a day for a farmer. If anyone wants to be as self-reliant as possible live on several acres or more. Fresh well water and space to grow hundreds of pounds of food.

unlike some, I don't believe that the grocery store "makes" the groceries. I can't believe that we're still having trouble getting some grocery items. I was just cruising the meat aisle (looking for the managers specials to take home and can) and another lady was mentioning to her friend that "my goodness, the shelves are empty!"

When I was a teen growing up in Canada our entire back yard was garden. Almost everyone around us had a garden. In the corner of the basement, we had a pantry room. My father knocked half of a cinder block then to expose it to the enclosed breezeway, During the winter it was like a refrigerator. We harvested a few hundred pounds of root crops each year. There was also a freezer in that room. When I witness the panic of some in the cities, I take comfort in fact that I live on an acreage where I can potentially grow enough to last for a few years if stored correctly. I built a greenhouse and now dehydrating herbs.

Just scrolling through some prepping videos & found you , praise God ! Thank you first and foremost for being the witness you are . People need Jesus first ,without Him they and their family are doomed no matter how much they have to eat . Food & water are temporary, Jesus is forever.......that being said , preparing is not a lack of faith its scriptural. Many of the parables are about preperation , from repentance up and down the scale . Then the saved or prepared help others to do the same physically and spiritually... Good job Cornbread !

I had to laugh when we moved to north carolina 17 years ago. whenever there is any kind of storm predicted everyone runs to the store and the bread and milk are gone in a blink of the eye. I have always been able to bake bread so it dosen't effect me but you are making perfect sense about having a pantry. here it is not cold enough to create a pantry especially if you do not have a basement so I do keep the freezer full and try and keep enough on hand to be able to make things you need. I do miss having a cold place to keep thing. we came here from idaho and being 6000 feet up we had lots of snow so never had to worry about food storage in a pantry.

Thanks for sharing. I make soup once a week in the winter and when I go to church on Sunday I give an older lady a pint every week. I also share my garden produce with my church family also. Older folks love fresh produce.Makes me happy to share
