Map creation takes practice. It is an acquired skill that only comes with time. That being said, studying the work of others is a fun and fantastic way to learn how to do it yourself. Perhaps this will teach you some new techniques that you can apply to your own game development project, whether it is within RPG Maker MV, RPG Maker VX Ace, RPG Maker XP, Unity, Game Maker, Clickteam Fusion or some other game engine.

Yup, feeling more and more like I should give this one a try. Have you played around a lot with it so far?

It definitely is fun to mess around with, and has already given me a few ideas for games I might wanna make with it. I've only put in about 10 or so hours with it so I'm still learning it's limitations and such. Good change of pace from RPGM though.

@@BenderWaffles I'm looking it for more or less the opposite angle, in that it looks a lot like the kind of _tool(s)_ I'm interested in making and more opportunities to look at how others are designed are always welcome!

I'm pretty sure it's by the same people who make RPG Maker. At the very least a lot of it's systems work in the same way.

It's definitely worth grabbing on sale I think. I've only put in about 10 or so hours so it's still up in the air for me.
