I was a vegetarian for five years but in lockdown started to crave fish. Eventually I gave in and hit the fish and chip shop! Since then we have started to eat more meat again and for the last four months have been living a keto lifestyle which is quite meat and dairy heavy. We also have a local butcher that sells grass fed meat from local farms and we try to buy as much as possible from them. We have both lost about a stone and a half in weight and are feeling great. The biggest difference has been how settled my digestion has been since eating this way. Obviously we won't stick to this forever and will go back to a better balanced diet in the new year. Everyone should be able to eat what they feel is best for them without having to answer to anyone else. There us an expert in every diet camp telling us that their diet is best but you have to work out for yourselves what suits you best. By the way the pizza looked fab and I would love to be eating that for my dinner x

The cats in the gingerbread house had me laughing 😂 in terms of aesthetics (I can’t say it either), I notice it makes such a big difference in my mood and how I feel, every time I go in my bedroom which is navy and gold accents (a good way to introduce colour without making the room smaller) it always makes me smile and feels so comforting. Some people might say it’s just a few cushions and accessories but I definitely notice it, the trick is to allow yourself space and time figuring it out so they aren’t rapid and constant changes when you realise you hate the colour 😂 take it easy, be kind to yourself and find room for fun too 😘 x

If you want your garden to look good in late winter/early spring, a good idea is to plant some bulbs like snowdrops, crocus and hyacinths. You can even do bulb lasagna pots where you pot up three types of bulbs in a pot which come up after one another (plenty of youtube vids on how to do this). Late summer/autumn - things like sedum spectable is a good idea, or for larger flowers - cosmos lasts well into autumn. All these flowers and bulbs are also great for wildlife too so you're helping nature.

How good are those cat scratch houses!? We got one last Christmas and brought it out again this year, the cats are totally obsessed! Loved the food haul, so fun to see you diving into new things and learning! Don’t let anyone dull your excitement, it’s clear that your heart is so in the right place! And with the wall… you can always paint it back if you don’t like it! If it makes you happy, give it a go!

I’m vegan and couldn’t go back, but I would never judge anyone else for their choices. We’re all free to make our own decisions. You need to do what feels right for you, not what other people tell you you should be doing. Xxx

You never need to explain changes you want to make for yourself, to anyone. Ever. Everyone is different and we all go through changes and seasons in life. Totally on board with the sustainable, ethical, local meat farms! If any of your viewers are also in Canada/Ontario has a similar meat box Niku farms. It’s all small community family farms! Please don’t let anyone put you in your place, or “call you out” about any choices you are making regarding (and here’s the key people) YOUR LIFE! If you want to shift into a new aesthetic, bloody well do it! There is a psychology around aesthetics. The colour and design does affect us mentally and emotionally and if your craving change, do it. It’s for a reason. As for the gingerbread house… why can’t we get human size ones 🎉! Sooo fun! Totally added the book to my wish-list! Love a seasonal approach like that! The snowflakes! Will always love my custom Winter Solstice one I purchased from you 🤍❄️🤍! Homemade pizza - excuse me while I drool a minute 🤭 I love a random vid because it’s so authentic and in the moment 🥰🙏🏽🤗 can’t wait for the next! Best way to spend a Sunday! Hugs! K

Thank you for the kitty footage!!! 🐈🐈⬛😺😻❤️💖 I have 3 kitty darlings (all feral rescues) myself: 😺 Gandalf (white with tabby overcoat, medium plush fur, with one green eye and one hazel eye - green with large dark brown patches.), 😺 Mari (black or dark chocolate in the sunlight, short sleek silky fur, with green eyes.), and 😺 Bella or Bella Mocha Latte (white and cream with creamy coffee and dark brown to black tabby markings, medium plush fur front half to long fluffy back half & tail and white mitts, with blue eyes.) ----- One note on letting others redirect your home decor choices or any choices. I grew up going to Christian Churches and was encouraged to seek out the truth and build my own personal relationship with God. One phrase I remember referring to sermons is: eat the meat and spit out the bones. (Like: don't throw out the Baby with the bath water.) I would suggest using this approach to any advice you get from any source. It's YOUR home. YOU live in it. YOU are "living the life YOU love." Our tastes change over time. When you reflect on sustainable practices, you also can consider SELF CARE and Marie Kondo's saying: "Does it spark joy?". ❤️🫂✨

This is a lovely vlog today. You're very brave to continue your lifestyle and health journey on a public forum. Kudos to you, Kay. I want to say that there is a controversial theory out there called eating right for your blood type. I don't necessarily ascribe to the theory, but my husband has blood type 0, which the doctor/scientist (Peter D'Adamo) states are meant to be meat eaters. My husband feels stronger, healthier and happier when he eats regular servings. I have type A and I don't enjoy meat and feel my best when I'm not weighed down by meaty meals. I'm not saying this guy is right, but I am saying that it seems right for us. 💕 xo karen
