This was really timely for me, Jack. I'm finally getting into electric guitar after years of thrashing on an acoustic now that the kids have grown and I have the time, and I'm trying to find pedals to help me get the sounds I want to go with my one and only amp, which I got for its classic rock tones - a Magnatone Super Fifteen. I thought, Gee, now that I have this amp, I'm done! But then I needed a wah ... and a fuzz ... and a delay ... and a rotary ... and a looper ... And all that has been fine, until: Overdrive! I bought the amp because it had the dirty sounds I wanted, but now that I think I need "something" to stand out for a solo, it's been a real challenge. It's like I'm listening to my favorite songs differently, trying to decode the sound I want - and trying to find resources for people who play Marshalls but not "metal," to see what they have on their amp. It's been quite a journey so far, but thanks to your channel and a few others I've been learning a lot. All the best -

Love the Red Llama! I think it and my modified Marshall Blues Breaker clone pedal are the tones I’ve been chasing. I found perfect Celestion speakers and I’m working on building my perfect tube amp, so hopefully I’ll be set…

After watching a lot of videos abt the bluesbreaker and studio jtm, I really wanted to get one. But I like the sound of my guitar straight to amp, and would never get breakup woth these amps at a low volume. So I started tweaking with my studio jubilee on the clean channel with crunch boost engaged and man it just gives me alk the classic jtm tones I need

Great video. Do you think these Marshall hand wired combos can get that specific plexi tone like a JTM 45 head can? I’m a home player and would love a plexi sound in a combo form. No use for a head and stack. Thanks!

I just sold my ac30 to the other guitar player in my. And I am thinking about getting this as I love my jcm800 non master volume but can’t really gig it .. I think this may do the trick

Very useful video. Time to go warm up my JTM45 and try my super fat mod. Curiouser and curiouser.

What does it sound like with an attenuator?

Love the Halo. I also dig the Monterey. But since I already had the drives and fuzz, I opted for the Keeley Dyno My Roto for the Lesli sounds. Great selections for that board/amp combo, but my guess is it's great for almost any amp.

My big journey this summer was looking for a rotary. I got to play a Dyno My Roto and it sounds pretty good! For my uses, when I had to actually "write the check" I went with a Wampler Terraform. I don't use modulations very often at present and thought, great sound and great bang for buck.

Lol, if you've got a blues breaker you don't need any pedals for classic Marshall tone
