Several years back I paid $200 to fly in a B-17 out of Norman Oklahoma and around Oklahoma City. That airplane is made for 20 year olds gradual and skinny to get from one into the other. My heart went out for all those young man who was shot out of the sky and those who made it back

That's money well spent. I'm from Oklahoma also and my Uncle was a B-17 top turret gunner. I've been doing a lot of research lately on his missions. He flew bombing raids over Germany and one in, I think, Belgium. And yes, those bombers weren't made for us big fellas. lol
