That's a nice manageable pond. I love seeing all the over-the-top ponds, but this is way more practical. You go too big, it starts requiring more maintenance. I've had a 4500 gallon pond for over 20 years, and sometimes I wish it was a little larger, but I'm actually glad it isn't.

With planting the water Lilly, it looked like two bags of soil. Then the Lilly rhizome and gravel on top of that. Should I not be covering my Rhizomes with soil prior to putting the gravel on top??
