Windjammer on Rittenburg was where I hung my hat for a while. ..When I 1st moved down there… Same job/ commute from N.Charleston. Parking lot,both ways(Your from around there,you know better than me)Back in Sandhills of NC now,with a little tween daughter. 1-2-24 she’s turning 13.!.Was chillin on edesto having a brew…blinked…& I have a soon to be teen. Would have told you that you were nuts if you would have told me that’s how it would be 14+ years ago!That’s how it goes & I wouldn’t change a thing. My girls my life!!going on about it because you mentioned your pops a couple times. 1st video,so DK what’s up with anything..but,whatever it is,it’s all good.Believe it!Wish i had some extra cash at the moment to toss you some gas money but running EXTRA LEAN at the moment & taxes are nearly due. & Santa…!..lawd hep me. Keep on keeping on. Your doing it right!! Be safe and listen to your gut.. PS .new oil every 5ish k. If it’s clean looking /smelling it can go a little longer. Btl says 3, is a little early for me & they are selling more oil so.?.?Just recently heard something about oil that makes some sense to me..find a good oil & stick with it.ALL of it doesn’t come completely out when it’s changed and the chemicals & additives etc in one oil can cancel out the benefits of the of the other if you use a different brand..that’s just the dad in me coming out. You know oils the life blood of a good yota. Brand…ask around. Toyota Forums.enough rambling tangents for now.over & out.

Brings back fond memories of a cold January mid-week escape to Folly Beach with my wife a few years back. Back in the days when Priceline allowed "Name Your Own Price". We bid just $40 for a 3 star plus hotel in Charleston and they put us at that 6 story hotel on Folly Beach. Do not remember the name. The ground and beach was white with a dusting of snow. Only 3 other rooms occupied in that big hotel. The beach was desolate, not much of anything outside was open. And we had a great time! Remember a "hole in the wall" type store a couple of blocks off the beach and walking distance from the hotel. Went there for coffee in the morning and freshly prepared warm foil wrapped sandwiches in the afternoon. We still talk about going back. Love traveling to destinations during "off-peak" season.

I saw a Massive/ White Ball UFO there in 1994 - out over the Marsh. The next day I saw a long parade of Military trucks with RADAR tech going to the old coast guard base. It was amazing. Love Folly Beach

I lived on Folly for over 10 years, grew up in the Charleston area. Lost dog Café is one of my favorite places. I also worked at Snapper jacks for almost a decade, not sure if it’s still called that, but it’s the place you were sitting on the bench drinking your coffee, cool video

The sunrise was incredible. I've done a lot of Canadian wilderness canoeing and I am always the first one awake and kind of love to just sit quietly sipping my coffee watching the sunrise. If you ever get to Indiana, there is a town on the Ohio River called Sunrise that the main street faces east, and the sun comes up over the Ohio River and just floods Main St with warm sunshine in the fall. It is a gorgeous little town where people drive their tractors to town for the three B's.........breakfast, banking and business. By God girl, you know all the best places to eat! Memory lane I lived on folly beach and went to James island high in the 80s it’s a bit different now but I can still feel it. Btw ever tried vicious biscuits? Their biscuits and grit will melt your face THANKS 😊

The Crab Shack heading towards Tybee Island, Ga is my favorite. Tybee isn't my favorite beach but my son and I travel to Tybee at least twice a year to eat at our Crab Shack summer/winter. Nice video!

PSS. The day I moved away from there, I rode the coast N until I had to stop. No passport or I might still be going today. Still,wouldn’t change a thing.30-35ish days of sipping ,camping,fishing and going where the day took me..best trip ever!little bro still around James..straight across from DT /battery. PEACE!

Back in the day if it was high tide there was no beach. A friend of mine use to have a beach house on the beach to the left of what use to be a Holiday Inn something else now but Hugo blew it away.

@lorij9649 unfortunately there’s nothing that I can do about that :/ KZbin doesn’t actually share with me who has notifications turned on or anything like that. Many times I don’t receive notifications for comments on my videos too so their system isn’t the greatest

In the late sixties i used to go to Folly Beach with my cousin's.did this for three years in a row. Boring beach nothing to do. For me the best part about those three years in a row of going to Folly Beach was the day when we would leave to come back home. All that was down at Folly Beach in the sixties was nothing but people who had retired. Never been back and have no plans to go back.

@@atinynomad we went to Destin Florida last month in late October, that was not bad at all. We swam in the ocean every day.

@@atinynomad as mentioned before, I live right down the road from the Gorge probably 12 miles, woke up to about 2" of snow this morning but it has almost all melted now.
