I absolutely loved the Enchanted Wood and the Faraway tree series. I grew up in the 60's and 70's so they were a little less PC then, we had the land of Dame Slap and other such things which would not be allowed now, also Bessie and Fanny, I think they call her Franny now! Oh the wonderful memories of all the different lands at the top of the tree and having to rush to get back down before the land moved on, all the characters, Silky, Moon face, Dame wash a lot, the chap with the pots and pans etc. I am so glad you grew up reading, so many young people don't these days and it makes me sad xx

I know how you feel about grief as I lost both my parents 3 years ago and today on mother's day hasn't been easy for me. Waking up at half 4 crying and held back after and then crying again when I spoke to my partner, other than that it was nice spending time with my nephew,his girlfriend and their baby P.s missed these videos xx

March is tough for me too as it’s my Mum’s birthday and Mother’s Day within 11 days of each other. This year is 10 years since she died. Like you with Saint and this baby boy I tell my 12 year old son about my Mum to keep the connection. We both have needed her so much. Thinking of you so much over this hard time. On the Busy Books front, my son was obsessed with them. We had tons of different ones. We’ve only just got rid of them and he still wanted to keep the figures from them. They’re fab if you have the room for them all 🙈 x

I used to love reading but ever since becoming a mum I’ve just felt it’s a waste of time if that makes sense. I used to love Jaqueline Wilson and famous five. Loved tracey beaker. I’m actually have a bath today as I can’t have one in the eve as my 9 year old struggles to sleep and shouts constantly for me in the eve. So can’t relax so after work and kids are at school I have a bath once a week to relax and unwind. I just struggle to actually relax when I read now. :/. Loving the blog and how big saint has got x
